Motivational Program Proposal Mildred Jones University of Phoenix Motivational Program Proposal My motivational program proposal is about motivating me and my family and friends to lose weight and making better healthy eating choices. My plan is based on intrinsic motivation we are motivated to exercise based on our internal reward, such as the enjoyment itself and the desire to maintain the rewards of exercise. Leading a lifestyle to lose weight and eat healthier gives us a sense of internal pleasure and fulfillment by that lifestyle because we are Intrinsically motivated to lose weight and the reward for us will be self-satisfying and give us a sense of accomplishment and a sense of purpose. “Intrinsic motivation causes us to participate in an activity for own enjoyment, rather than for any concrete, tangible reward that it will bring us.” (Feldman, 210 p. 8). The results I hope to achieve is to be motivated to lose the weight by making my goals definitive. Unclear goals like “I’m going to start losing some weight” doesn’t really commit me to anything definite. But, by making my goals more precise, I can better envision what the end results should look like. To keep us more focused, imagining what I would look like after those first months will get us emotionally invested and is better motivation that just mere numbers on a scale. Some examples of this would be to set out on a strategy and this strategy will incorporate a proper diet regimen along with whatever exercise programs that works best for us. Also, we will set positive, attainable goals and the goal will not be we don’t want to be overweight anymore, but the attainable picture of whom we whom we want to become through a
