Our first step is to look at the areas of staffing and decide the position in each area that will benefit Tanglewood. This is an overview of those areas and my recommendations for the position Tanglewood should take in those areas and why. We will address each area in more detail as we move forward. With each area there is a continuum that has an either/or extreme on each end.

Setting goals can have an impact on workplace productivity in a positive and a negative way. Rewards that are given for quality performance helps an individual be able to assess themselves, helping them be able to have job satisfaction along with personal growth.
Allstate provides their employees with a road map to succeed by executing the goal setting definitions. The employees were given tools and resources to become better. They have quarterly leadership measurements as well as the survey to get feedback from employees. Allstate focus on diversity, they see diversity as a strategy for leveraging differences in order to create a competitive advantage thus create four steps process to reach their effective goals. The first step which is the succession programming explains how Allstate identified and developed candidates for each key position.

Cheree is a strong worker who is in on time and is a joy to have in the organization however because of her popularity she is a social butterfly that can avoid talking and socializing the other coworkers then staying on task and complete the job on schedule. Her work when she does do the projects is satisfactory. For Cheree we need to take the steps and to place her in an environment where she can still communicate with her coworkers but have a consistent schedule that she has to stay on place with her projects such as having deadline each day for the tasks to be completed. The theory for motivation we chose for Cheree was Herzberg Two Factor Theory can only be used as motivational factors
