Dear Ms. Grace and Ms. Wanxin, When I was at high school, I thought that I only needed to concentrate on the books in order to fulfil my goal. I was a bookworm; I could talk all day about the management theories, economic principals, and so on. However, one day, when my school held a camp to celebrate its 40th birthday, I could not organize an activity for my class. At that time, I realized that I lacked the practical skills, which I would learn from interacting with people. I tried to join Aiesec in Vietnam but I was not qualified enough. Therefore, I participated in many activities to improve myself. I knew about Aiesec since I was a student in Vietnam, I saw my friends so proud of being Aiesecers. 2 months ago, I became an Aiesecer just when I came to NTU as a freshman; I was still “fresh” with everything. I know what Aiesec is doing, but I can’t explain what it is. In the jumpstart, I felt quite alone because I could not get involved with others. Moreover, my lifetime goal is to become the owner of a fashion brand and also a business lecture. In order to achieve it, besides my academic knowledge, the leadership skill is an integral key. Then, I received the email of the application for NTT, and I was sure that this will be an ideal opportunity for me to challenge myself and also contribute to the community. “When one teaches, two learn”, this is one of my favourite quotation. I firmly believe that I’m learning no matter what I am a trainer or a trainee. I know my Vietnamese friends who are Aisecers, so I know the general characteristics of Aiesecers.
