Describe accuracy and thoroughness of information and how you made this determination. | It states on the home page of the site “We offer life-changing nutrition education to anyone wanting a healthier life”. The headings for each section are clearly stated and highly visible: Nutrition Counseling, Classes, Workplace Wellness, Products, and Radio Show. The nutrition counseling seems pretty pricey with an initial consultation at $250. The classes, though expensive as well, have enable nurses to earn up to 14.4 CEUs. The workplace wellness link has a downloadable brochure which is well designed and colorful. I looked at the products and found it brought me to another website: http://www.nutrikey.net/ . In a couple of clicks of the mouse, I was debating on buying the 16oz extra virgin coconut oil for $16.43 (free shipping), but my spouse recently purchased at Trader Joes for half the cost. The radio show even has a podcast which one can download or listen to as a live broadcast.…show more content…
Differentiate usefulness for each of these two groups. | As the requirements for this project stated it could not be a .gov or .org, I personally would not have looked at this site as a healthcare professional. I would have gone to http://www.nutrition.gov/nutrition-and-health-issues as there are more detailed information about nutrition health such as dietary supplements and how they affect one’s health. The products offered on this site have the ingredients listed. Being a site primarily aimed at educating about nutrition; it would have been nice for each product to have a product description a simple explanation on how it works for the body. For example, the only product for blood sugar support (gluco control) doesn’t have a product description that explains it’s involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis, and there are no possible side effects for consumers to be aware of while taking this supplement.
