The characteristics of a medieval town are very similar to those of our towns and cities today. The medieval towns had just about what everyone needed for survival and their practices. They were populated and it had its ups and downs and even crime and enforcement. They had roads and stores and markets and animals. Just like it was back than where towns were built where everything was it’s just about the same today. Towns grow where the supplies, stores, doctors, and enforcement or security. The towns we live in today have streets, cops, churches, schools, and fun areas. The medieval ages had the same design as we do today. They had their churches and stores and houses would than build around them. What medieval days had what we didn’t was castles. They would have their castles where their high officials live and give laws. That’s where the town would start off at and then houses would be built than supplies for houses would then be needed and that’s when the stores or markets come in and people pray or believe than churches would be built. Our tons today don’t have castles or kings. We have our courthouses where there is a whole building full of higher officials as judges attorneys or even the mayor or other political officials. Both today and medieval we had laws to follow or we would get punished. Jail time or even execution and our higher officials would decide would our punishment would be depending on the crime. Work ethic was probably different in medieval because the wife would be a house wife and raise the children and clean the house and even raise the children. The wives today can do just about anything. They could join our military and be a cop or even work as a construction worker. Today some husbands stay home while the wife works and he stays home to raise the kids cook and clean the
