Comcast has also been able to determine what the completion has or does not offer its customers. Some of Comcast competitors are Satellite TV, and Dish Network. (www.about.com). Comcast is fighting against Congressional and regulatory reviews to set national broadband policy. Comcast also has worries about retransmission fees as a broadband provider, and a content provider. Even though the company has challenges the company has been able to grow its moderating cable distribution and cable network business. At the same time Comcast is trying to reinvent a broadcasting business that is declining. Comcast has expanded its business to invest in General Electric’s NBCU. Comcast is looking at five areas to pursue new strategies. A Comcast app for the Apple’s iPad is one of the five areas beig pursued at this time. (Mermigas, 2010). Social media strategy is important to all industries of business. Blogging about your industry, leaving comments can make your business credible.
