Concerns that we faced were possible risks of theft as all areas and doors were not locked during the hectic process, which meant the possibilities of medical records of the service users and the staff property being stolen by somebody which seized the opportunity because they knew everyone was not paying attention and knew there was a lack of security and different priorities than usual. What could next time be possibly done is by making sure that everything is locked and the key is always with someone trust worthy. Another concern that we faced was getting the children out of the building as quick as possible because of how small they were so some were crying and some were running around because they were only age 0-2. Another health concern that arise in the case of the fire in my work placement included the effects of the fire harming the children, which it did physically in their body because one of the children was coughing severally, also one of the staff that was trying to make sure that every child got out safe inside the building got a first degree burn on the harm so the ambulance had to be called for both the child and staff, also the other children had to be checked up to make sure they were also fine and did not have anything that could cause them harm later on. Another concern that arise during the fire in my nursery is that there was not enough might not be enough fire exist.
Physical abuse This is when a child is being physically abused this could include hitting, smacking, punching, kicking or include objects being thrown at them. This causes pain to them and leaves marks- this type of abuse can even lead to death The signs and symptoms of abuse include- -marks on the body -refusal to undress -running away from home -fear of physical contact -distressed -not wanting to do any medical examination Some marks you see on children can be just genuine injuries as children are always bound to have accidents. However this does not mean that we can’t keep an eye on them. In my setting if a child has a mark on their body whether it being suspicious or not we ask the parent what they did- most parents tell you before you ask and the majority of the time you are like yes okay that fine sometimes you may thing that they are not telling you the truth. If we have a child having repeat marks on their body or suspicious marks then we body map this and store it.
When he is in these states he will lash out at other service users as well as members of staff. This is dangerous for him not only for the obvious physical risks but it can also put his health into jeopardy. Due to his personal centered plan we have in place staff are aware of these outbursts and how to handle them. The plan explains things that might cause Mr. X to become agitated, like not being able to find his razor. Staff know to offer to go help look for it in his room where it is usually found in the top drawer or next door in the bathroom.

Use of space impacting on emergency procedures Throughout the workplace there have been provided various facilities for the control of and response to fire such as in date fire extinguishers of the right type and quantity located near to an adequate number of signed fire exits. Although this in commendable fire provisions have been compromised by haphazard storage which has lead to blocked fire exits, obstructed fire extinguishers and inadequate internal directional signage. In the event of a fire each of these issues could lead to a loss of revenue due to stopped production etc and, more importantly, in the event a major fire, serious injury or death. Again these issues are not only a breach of some of the afore mentioned Acts and Regulations but also The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which requires employers to assess the risk from fire and then take reasonable action to reduce the risk of fire starting and put in place procedures to ensure the safety of employees should a fire start. 3.
This can happen in a care home easily, as older people are very fragile and prone to infections. In a care home infections can be spread by staff not wearing gloves and aprons, which can lead to cross contamination. Another way infection could spread is by a resident having the flu and being put in the same room as the other residents, this could cause the rest of the care home becoming ill. Infection can be brought to a residential care home from an outsider such as a family member. If they are to have an infection it could still be in the air for days, for other people to catch it.
This could cause them to get lost or maybe have an accident on the street such as walking into the road. To prevent this from happening all doors should be locked so service users only have access to the garden unless with a member of staff. If medicines are left lying about then elderly people who are
If there was an outbreak of norovirus, the workplace wold have to isolate itself to prevent the infection spreading. It could become distressing for the individual being isolated to try control the infection. The workplace could loose money having staff off sick and employing more staff to cover, laundry bill could be high as bedding and clothes become contaminated. 4.1 – The term risk means something or someone could be exposed to danger or harm. 4.2 – In the workplace giving individual personal care you could come into contact with bodily fluids.

A circumstance of aggravation includes circumstances in which the offender is or pretends to be armed with a dangerous or offensive weapon, where the offender is in company with another person or persons, where the offender does bodily harm to or threatens to kill or injure any person, or where the offender knows or ought to have known that there was another person in the habitation. Although, fortunately, not all burglaries of homes result in harm to an occupant, it is a matter of increasing concern among members of the community that they may be harmed. A burglary is a traumatic experience for a homeowner. People regard their home as their sanctuary and look to it to be a place of security and safety for themselves and their families and loved ones. For a homeowner to find that that sanctuary has been violated – that strangers with malicious motives have entered uninvited and invaded their privacy – is very distressing and can unsettle people to the point where they feel that they have to move home, at considerable expense both financially and emotionally.
