Imagine being kept from one’s true love, deceiving one’s family, and finding one’s husband deceased. Your honor, Juliet Capulet would not have had to go through these terrible conditions and would also be alive today if Friar Lawrence would have not involved himself with Romeo Montague’s and Juliet Capulet’s difficulties. We come to this courtroom today to determine who is responsible for Juliet Capulet’s death. The court will clearly prove Friar Lawrence is to blame in this horrible tragedy. First, Friar Lawrence made the mistake of marrying Romeo and Juliet.
Lord Capulet and Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet The Shakespeare’s play “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” resulted in great tragedy of two lovers. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet both committed suicide in the end, so they were responsible for their own deaths but actually there were much more characters leading up to the death of two lovers. But who was most at fault? In my opinion, Lord Capulet (Juliet’s father) was most at fault. First of all, he didn’t kick out Romeo from the party.
The Capulets And Montagues: The Ones To Truly Blame Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy where the four teenagers die because of a feud going on between two noble families. Their death is a mix everyone’s fault, but it is mainly the Capulets and Montagues fault. Although the two families thought they were doing good for their children, they were hateful towards each other, too stubborn to try to resolve the feud, and Lord and Lady Capulet were very hard on Juliet when she refused to marry Paris. The Capulets and Montagues thought the feud wouldn’t do any harm, but the hate towards each other caused the four teenagers to die. For instance, Shakespeare says: Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay or scene, From
Where does responsibility lie for the deaths in Romeo and Juliet? A total of six characters died in the play Romeo and Juliet for many different reasons. The main characters died by committing suicide, Mercutio, Tybalt and Paris were killed and Lady Montague died out of sadness. Although they died by the hands of different people, the feud between the Montague’s and the Capulet’s, the immaturity of the characters, the pride of Tybalt and the system of marriage at that time are responsible for the deaths in Romeo and Juliet. To begin with, the battle between the Montague’s and Capulet’s caused the death of Mercutio and Tybalt.
Both their families had a conflict that was full of privileges. Romeo killed someone in Verona which got him banished from the city. Romeo and Juliet died together by suicide. Friar Lawrence is the person that is responsible for their deaths. Friar knew about the problems between the Montague's and Capulet's yet he still marries Romeo and Juliet.
Human actions form a major part of the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Who is ultimately responsible for the death of the two young lovers? In the famous play, “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare, the two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, lose their lives to be with each other, and the question is, who is guilty of pushing them to taking their own lives? Lots of different people can be blamed for Romeo and Juliet’s death, like Father Lawrence, the apothecary, the Montagues and Capulets, Romeo and Juliet themselves, and even the Prince. Father Lawrence, for not making sure Romeo received the letter explaining that Juliet was only in a death like state.
The feud between the two families played a huge part of the deaths of the two lovers. Since Romeo had the last name of Montague and Juliet had the last name of Capulet they were to be sworn enemies. Romeo and Juliet go against their parents and marry their own “enemy”. Because they got married they feel that they should keep
Who is Responsible? “The fearful passage of their death marked love, And the continuance of their parents rage, (Act 1, Pro.,9-12) Which, but their children’s end, naught could remove, Is now the two hours traffic of our stage;” From the beginning of this play, the reader (or viewer) can tell that the two “households” do not like each other and death was in the near future. This quote from the Prologue in Act 1 shows how Romeo and Juliet's love is marked by death from the beginning. In addition, many of the events that take place in Romeo and Juliet lead up to the final conclusion of the couple dying. There are many characters in the play that have a role in and the couple dying, but there is one specific person who sticks out.
Tragic deaths- powerful, dreadful, and unfortunate, in many cases it comes in like a wrecking ball. William Shakespeare, author of Romeo and Juliet, tells a story of two star-crossed lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Set in Verona, Italy, this pair of ill-fated lovers cannot openly show their affection for each other because their families had been feuding for many generations past. Juliet’s nurse, Friar Lawrence, and Lord Capulet, are the three people most liable for the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Though not completely responsible, the nurse contributed more or less to the death of the misfortunate lovers.
Heidy Guerrero Mr. Dorflinger English 9- Per.1 May 17, 2012 The Romantic Tragedy Of Romeo and Juliet In life, love is often forbidden due to certain circumstances such as gender, race, religion, and even one’s parents’ disapproval. In William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”, two unlucky young teenagers both belonging to enemy families, Capulet and Montague, fall into a forbidden love at first sight, and yet commit suicide to end the family’s feud. Shakespeare provides evidence in Act 1 that foreshadows the upcoming events, which are the death of Romeo and Juliet. In the Prologue, lines 5-7, the Chorus provides evidence that Romeo and Juliet will die in the end. The Chorus states, “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life; whose misadventure piteous overthrows doth with their death bury their parents’ strife.” This quote is an example of foreshadowing because it clearly states that Romeo and Juliet are going to die in the end.
