Imagine not being able to do things, because you are too scared and have no goals. What would you do? Would you just hide and give up? Or would you look for the things to take that fear away and give you something to believe in? To be able to survive what we call “our natural world” we need to have courage, confidence, and dreams. These things are necessary, because they give us strength to believe in what we do and a belief in ourselves. Courage is necessary, because it gives us strength to believe in what we do. “I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees for the trees have no tongues" (Seuss). The Lorax is able to stand up and speak for the trees, because he has courage. We use courage in our lives to show people our true strengths and to fight for what we believe in. Like in the quote; because the trees couldn’t stand up for themselves, the Lorax took full responsibility in telling the Onceler what the trees couldn’t. That is courage. It’s really easy to get put down in our world. Just walking out into the street someone can put you down with one look, but If you have total confidence in who you are, then very little can bother you. “Who says, who says you're not perfect? Who says you're not worth it? Who says you're the only one that's hurtin'? Trust me, that's the price of beauty. Who says you're not pretty? Who says you're not beautiful? Who says?” (“Who Says”). This song is a good way to show how most people (in the songs case, girls) should view their self esteem. We should be proud of who we are and believe that we are worth feeling confident. We should not listen to what others say. This-confidence- will help us survive in our every day
