The employee can take this leave to take care of medical, personal, or military issues. This bill was signed by President Bill Clinton in February 1993. In order to qualify under the FMLA, the employee must work for a company with 75 or more employees. The employee must also have worked for at least 12 months and 1250 hours during the 12 months.
Case Assignment #2 – Shouldice Hospital – A Cut Above 1. The Hospital is currently utilizing its beds moderately well, with room for improvement. They operate at maximum capacity three days out of the week and at 66% capacity two days out of the week. Saturday and Sunday are areas of concern, however, as they only utilize 33% of their available capacity on those days 2.
