Luciana Calle Question 3 Home is a place where a person feels safe and comfortable enough to be themselves completely since nobody is there to judge or watch them. In the novel “Dracula” the main character Count Dracula leaves his home in Transylvania, leaving the comfort of his home and going out into the world that judges him and watches his every move. Dracula is a vampire, who is gifted of many powers and abilities beyond a humans thought and or imagination. On the downside when leaving home he had to take boxes filled with soil from his land in order to keep his capability of super strength. The worst thing he does when he leaves his home is also change the routine he has been following for years which was getting the prey to come to him, he usually gets the person he wants to go into his house willingly and then gets them within then. This time as he has left his home, he gets hungry and feeds on people along the way of his journeys to the different places he travels to and especially when the men and Mina begin to go on the hunt for his life it hints where he is. Dracula is a complex character that requires protection from several things that can ruin him in an instinct. His home is the place in which he is completely safe since people never when close to his house due to the fact that they were terrified. There were already many stories in Transylvania about him killing people that even though they didn’t know if it was true, they stayed away just in case. Even though people in both Russia and England didn’t know anything about him, he didn’t seem to know who he was dealing with when he began to mess with Lucy, the men and very intelligent
