Juliet’s EULOGY (lady capulet’s perspective) I come before you all today, perhaps condemnable, perhaps at fault, but in mourning of this imposing matter, just as you, nonetheless. Such a lamentable day as this has never yet existed, and on no account will another as heart-rendering befall Verona in such detrimental splendor. Juliet Capulet, my beloved daughter, brought to death by blind ambiguity and an ill-starred affair, deserves more than passing sorrow and enduring reconciliation among these grieving families: she ought to be remembered and not forgotten. Juliet was the kind of girl who is almost impossible to dislike. She was a mother’s joy, innocent, sweet, passionate and uninhibited. My dear Juliet meant everything to me. Juliet’s grace, voice, and beauty will be hidden from the world that pains me. Juliet was the best daughter a mother could ask for. A very obedient child, yet very strong in her devotion to love. The only time she disobeyed her parent’s wishes was for her devotion to her husband Romeo. Juliet's love for Romeo was as pure as his love for her. It was love at first sight. She was his lady and his love. Although their love was star-crossed from the beginning, it was always genuine and pure. "the god of my idolatry", is what Juliet called Romeo - she truly loved him.
