Heroes do not have to be all of these things in order to be valiant. In fact, a hero does not need to really stand out from the crowd at all. A hero is simply someone who does more than what is required of them in order to help other people, which may later make him stand out. Heroes do not even need to constantly succeed at what they do. In Grendel, many people think that Unferth is not a hero because he never accomplishes anything and never seems any better than those around him.
I have never met a person, male or female, black or white, smart or dumb, that has ever said “I want to be second best.” We all want to feel that we are accomplished. I am in no way an exception to this idea. I do want to be the best, which is not a bad thing but it becomes an issue when purposely hurt another just to make us feel better. While he no doubt has an impressive resume, his deeds were not as hard-earned as some may believe. Alexander the Great, many would say otherwise, and would agree that his title is not so appropriate. Alexander the III of Macedon was a young king with an inherited empire, he never had to earn what he had given to him by his father, Phillip the II. A man that never had to work for what gave him his victory sounds like no victory at all. This is just one of the reasons Alexander does not deserve as much gratitude as he is delivered.

Cracks in Perfection If you were to develop in a world where no concept of love is given, does that mean you cannot necessarily find it anyway? In Brave New World, the characters have no concept of love or any other passion and actually scorn the idea. The goal is to avoid emotional instability. The characters are supposed to find artificial happiness in eternal youth, the comforts of technology, and soma. There are however cracks in the perceived happiness of this seemingly perfect society.

Being a locavore doesn’t do all the good it is said to. It also however, doesn’t do any wrong. Being a locavore may be one of the most ineffective idea’s there has been. It has little affect to any aspect of life. To support locavorism is all up to personal preference.
During The Great Gatsby, Gatsby makes a large fortune for him self; he was kind of selfish he can do what he wanted. Gatsby, he created who he is for the sole purpose of gaining daisy's love, therefore, he doesn’t have the class or stile where he from (east egg). He looks great from the outside but on the inside he is an ordinary man, not the theatrical "Great Gatsby." Tom believes himself to be higher than everyone else, which is why he fails to keep his affair with Myrtle more discreet. Tom has no goals or dreams like Gatsby, and also he is an arrogant egotistical and limited man.
