Charlie also worked so much that he ended up moving a cot into his lab to research, proving his avid enthusiasm. If he didn’t get an IQ boost, he would’ve never been able to do that. Secondly, Charlie pointed out in the beginning that he didn’t care that the intelligence wouldn’t last, and that he just wants to be able to experience it once. Even when he was being depressed about his mind regressing, he earnestly said that he didn’t blame anyone and that it was none of their faults. Charlie is a good person and was truly thankful for the operation.
I dream of becoming a pilot because I envision enjoying my career to the fullest. Yes, I understand the hardships; they come, among many important factors, with pay based on seniority and attaining just the “right kind” of experience to be hired for any given company. I have no shame in enjoying the adventure, and even the danger and unpredictability of what so many people, regardless of intellect, would never consider. Just because I am willing to take a risk to keep travelers safe does not mean I am of a lower value. I say this not to insult flying at all; I only bring up a common debate topic because of how I was raised - the airline pilot “collar crisis” - in a community of like-minded scholars.

Today I am blessed with being able to take a class in Science Fiction Literature (one of the perks of returning to school after an extended hiatus). I was pleased to note that not only is the class evenly divided by gender, but when the instructor asked everyone how many considered themselves to be SF fans (rather than just taking the class to get a lit credit), a majority of the women raised their hands. “Be good and be lonesome.” – Mark Twain Mark Twain once wrote “Be good and be lonesome.” Basically, if you are a good person, or do good deeds, people will be more distant from you. On the contrary though, I believe if you are good, people will be attracted to you. Human beings are naturally attracted to good people. Are we not attracted to superheroes? Superheroes such as Superman, the Green Lantern, Iron Man, Thor, and Wonder Woman have never ceased to inspire awe and admiration from their audiences.
The animation movie is literally identical to the comic book, whether it’s the plot, art, or dialogue, everything is taken right out of the comic making the tiniest of changes. Despite this I found the comic much more effective than the animated smovie in many aspects. Although they both used the same art, for some weird reason I found the book to be more entertaining (not as expected). I guess it might just be that the art was more suited for the flow of the book (after all that was the artist’s initial intention). On the other hand the fighting/action scenes seemed to shine in the movie version probably due to the quick movements and also the addition of music was a positive for the
We are allowed to sit wherever we want in lunch, and spend more time hanging out in Enrichment. Throughout my whole middle school experience, I have most liked getting to know new people. I have made many new friends with people I had never seen before in my life. I met very smart people who have bright futures ahead of them, musical stars that are bound to be on Broadway some day, and computer whizzes that are obviously going to invent the next cool video games. Middle school is full of surprises, but as long as you have that one best friend by your side through everything, it will be the best experience ever.
OPRAH WINFREY When presented the opportunity to do this paper, I thought hard about someone that I think really embodies those characteristics that define a true leader. It didn’t take me very long to choose Ms. Oprah Winfrey, famous talk show host and humanitarian. My only knowledge of Oprah before doing research for this paper, was the same as most people, I knew she was very rich, powerful, had a TV show that everyone loved to watch, and gave back a lot to the community. However, everything I found out was way beyond my expectations, and I find it important to note her upbringing to get a better sense of who she is today.
