In 1963, on November 22, President John F. Kennedy rode in a motorcade along with Governor Connally of Texas and both men’s wives. Idanell Connally, the governor’s wife, turned to Kennedy as they passed the Texas Schoolbook Depository and said, “Mr. President, you can't say that Dallas doesn't love you.” Kennedy replied, “That’s obvious,” before being fatally shot (JFK). Something that is not obvious, though, is who fired these shots, and why it was done. To figure out the true assassin and the motive behind the murder, Lyndon B. Johnson, Kennedy’s successor as President of the United States, instated the Warren Commission, a board of 7 men whose job was to investigate and report upon the assassination of Kennedy.
Much of the officially published evidence points towards Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman who killed the president, however, many of the events which transpired after the shooting lead many to believe that Oswald was not acting alone. Events such as Jack Ruby killing Oswald just days after the assassination and witnesses placing the two together
Under Secret Service regulations the agent on the passenger side of the front seat was supposed to protect President Kennedy by pushing the president down or by throwing his body over the president's. The agent did neither. The agent driving the limousine was supposed to accelerate the limousine and speed away from dangers such as sniper fire. However, during the entire time that rifle bullets were whizzing into the open limousine the driver failed to accelerate, and may have even slowed down. Pictures taken during the shooting, show that the limousine's brake lights were on.
The Grassy Knoll Theory is the theory that there was a conspiracy. That Oswald, as well as a man standing in the Grassy Knoll on the other side of the street were planning to assassinate President Kennedy. There was only one gun found, which proves there was one shooter. Also every bullet found in the Presidential car had come from the same gun, Lee’s gun. The police tapes, on which a fourth shot was heard, did not check out.

Even though it has been almost four decades since the assassination still there had not been adequate amount of information revealed regarding who did this & why? Discussed below are some of the motives and opportunities of several individuals/groups who are suspected to be assassins.
The United States has seen many attempts on leaders’ lives in its short history. Assassinations have been attempted on fifteen U.S. Presidents, resulting in four deaths. The other eleven attempted murders are often long forgotten by everyday persons, however the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan in March of 1981 has had so many numerous effects on today’s society that it should not be erased from the history boards. What could have started such a ground breaking and on going event? Oddly enough, it began with a film; Taxi Driver starring Robert De Niro and a young Jodie Foster, is about a New York taxi driver who saves the life of a child prostitute by killing a senator.

One of the many Americans was Martin Luther King Jr., "a strong worker for civil right for members of his race" (Nobel1). It was November 21st, 1963 when President Kennedy was shot. His car was driving "slowly past cheering crowd" when he was shot ( Library7). He died shortly after being shot because he was wounded badly. The test is designed to reveal whether there is any deposit of nitrate (from gunpowder) on the suspect’s skin. Oswald hand and his right cheek were tested. His hands reacted positively to the test but his check showed no reaction. If Oswald fired a rifle on November, 22nd 1963, one would expect that deposits of nitrate would have been found on his cheek also. ‘Motive’ Think about it, who else had motive to get rid of JFK.
