However, conspiracy theories became increasingly popular due to the uncertain nature of the assassination, the suspicious events after the killing and the multiple conflicting eyewitness accounts. Much of the officially published evidence points towards Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman who killed the president, however, many of the events which transpired after the shooting lead many to believe that Oswald was not acting alone.
This essay will assess the three possible scenarios in relation to the Assassination of President Kennedy, in Dallas, Texas in 1963. I will review the evidence in relation to Lee Harvey Oswald, the Mafia and the central intelligence Agency. To anticipate however I shall conclude that it is not possible to say beyond reasonable doubt whom the real assassin was as there is not sufficient evidence to condemn just one culprit. The American mafia is possibly one of the most likely culprits in relation to Kennedy’s death.
