The NCAA is the most visible and powerful national governing body in the United States. The NCAA is considered by the courts to be a private, voluntary membership organization. The NCAA is a structure that uses a representation form of governance. Members are free to join, or not join and there is no judicial authority from any particular state that delegates the power to regulate athletics to the NCAA. Although the NCAA has a heavy representation of public university officials in the NCAA structure, the rule making process conducted by the NCAA is not considered by the Supreme Court to be a joint action sufficient enough to consider the NCAA to be a state actor.

If no documents are forged, and if practices are properly approved and disclosed, appropriately accounted for, properly treated for tax purposes and in accordance with the terms of the option plan, most option granting practices should fall safely within the law (Rives, 2006). Legally as long as all of the paper work is met and the taxes are paid this is a perfectly legal process, however ethically it is illegal. A CEO has social responsibilities as well as responsibilities to his or her organization. For a CEO to profit when his or her corporation is in a slump or reporting tragic losses on its balance sheet, this is not a time for a CEO to be cashing in. This demonstrates poor judgment and poor faith in ones company.

Sadly, one of the only reasons that Taft even made his way to up the political ladder was because he had political connections through his father. When a reporter informed him he was no Teddy Roosevelt, Taft replied that his goal was to "try to accomplish just as much without any noise"- Now what sort of president would settle for doing whatever it takes with no “noise”? He wanted no attention and no recognition to his terms in presidency. Most importantly, Taft had surrounded himself with conservative businessmen who shared his love for golf and recreation at fine resorts; time Taft took golfing, could have been time spent improving the country. His new business associates isolated Taft from the progressive followers of Roosevelt who had supported his election.
At the time of initial proposal there was no indication of environmental problems or issues with the property. Now I have new information which is evident and it changes the validity of the property in terms of environmental hazard due to the buried and leaking biohazard containers. After consultation with the company lawyer, they have assured me that we do not need to disclose this information because the law does not require it as long as there has not been fraudulent misstatement about the condition. However, I feel that there are other stakeholders who will be affected by this. I know the purpose for this land will be retirement condos and they include walking trails and outside recreational facilities, what happens if one of the residents or children unearths the biohazard material?
