Into the Wild, by Jon Krakauer is a story about the life of Chris McCandless. After graduating with honors from Emory University in 1990, Chris donated his entire savings of twenty-four thousand dollars to charity. In doing, he set off to pursue his life long dream of living off the land in the Alaskan wilderness. McCandless ended up making it to Alaska and finding an old abandoned bus. Three months later McCandless decided he should go home.
