Months later, Unexpectedly Joe Dick, Daniel William’s roommate is now suspect number two. Ford immediately started his cruel interrogation, pushing the death penalty on him. Joe was now asked to take the same poly graph test, his results were never released. He said during his interrogation he was mentally drained as well. Once again another man in fear of dying tells detective ford that he and Daniel were both at the crime scene.

The victims of this heinous crime were the Clutters, Herbert, Bonnie, Nancy, and Kenyan. After a long investigation, the courts convicted Perry Smith, and Richard Eugene Hicock, (Dick), for the murders. In this scene Perry, and Dick are on trial awaiting sentencing. Logan Green is now trying to convince the jury that Perry and Dick deserve life imprisonment or death by hanging.
Charlie Manson made people believe murdering was right. Manson led what became to be known as “the Family” whom he manipulated into brutality killing others on his behalf. To the world Manson had become an icon of evil. Many times after a murder, Charles Manson and “the family” would write blood on the walls and killed his victims in a brutal way. They are met by anger and deny. The city’s sheriff acts strange and he does not want any help from the FBI. He denies that there has been a murder, and claims that the boys are out of state by the time the FBI arrive. But the two FBI agents do not give up that easily. During the movie a lot of black peoples churches gets burned down, and several murders are committed, all signed by the KKKs burning cross.
Atticus thought that it was Jem but the sheriff said that Bob Ewell fell on his knife. The person that really killed Bob Ewell was Boo Radley and the sheriff hides that fact to protect Boo Radley from trials in court. For readers to be able to tell that it was Boo Radley who killed Bob Ewell they had to pay attention to quotes like “Thank you Arthur….. Thank you for my children” (Lee chap 31). The Author gives readers clues and makes them think to figure out questions, she never gives a straight out answer.
But then everyone sees the woman's husband. They find he has committed suicide because he couldn't take his wife's screaming. Dr. Adams tells Uncle George to take Nick out of the hut. The doc feels bad that he brought his young son and his son had to see the bloody pregnancy and the guy's suicide. On the way back, Nick is curious and asks a lot of questions about the childbirth and the suicide.
