Kevben Belastegui Mr.Walker Period 6 October 7, 2014 One More Lap “Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and bring your cleats on Friday” says Pinky. Immediately after Pinky says “cleats” the guys cheer in agreement as if the king just finished his grand speech before a battle for the ages. These are the days the soccer team condition. “First we are going to hit the weight room and then run the track, okay?” Pinky’s tone suggests that we even have a choice to say “nah I’m good.” “My real name is Adalraziel Santos, and the reason why everyone calls me Pinky is because my real name is too hard. Also it is a nickname my older brothers gave me” says Pinky.

The story gives detail about his life and his journey to the berlin Olympics during the troublesome time of World War II. I enjoyed Unbroken because of the detail the author put into Louis emotions. Louis was really nervous before the Berlin Olympics but channelled those nerves to power him on in the race. Louis showed his determination with all the hours of hard training he put in to getting a good result in the end. One more emotion Louis showed was love, Louis expressed this emotion to his loving mother and father who supported him with his training
Having speed, agility, power, and awareness is the key components for winning a game on defense and the Eagles have all of that. Starting with the secondary led by all-pro cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha that had a dreadful year in his first year with team but, since he got a feel of the National Conference and adapt to the team now, I can see plenty of interceptions coming his way next season. On the other side of the field is Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie also first year with the team who suffered knee problems along the way. Over the off season activities the team should have enough chemistry to become an elite defense

Armstrong then went on to ride a broken bike past all other racers and win the stage. Lance is arguably the greatest and most courageous athlete to ever walk the earth. If it was not for his near death experience he would have never had the drive to work at racing and become a more determined person. These words by Armstrong sum up how much his life changed from the moment he was diagnosed. “Birthdays don't really matter much anymore ... for me, I sort of have a new birthday and that's October 2nd, the day I was diagnosed, ... the day we all sort of look to and mark these milestones by one year, two year, five year, 10 year.
As the season went on i got more and more experienced and actually started to win as opposed to losing in the first minute of the first round like I did my first match against one the top wrestlers in the city. Now I know what they mean by throwing someone to the wolves. Things were starting to take a turn for the worst the day of the El Camino tournament. I was already feeling apprehensive the morning of and was not at all up to wrestle that day. So I thought to myself if I don’t make weight coach won’t let me wrestle.
