At the age of 12, Nai was removed from her family of seven siblings and placed in a foster home. At the time, Nai (the second oldest child) and her older sister were caring for their younger brothers and sisters as her parents were usually absent. Being placed in foster care was extremely difficult for the siblings, who were separated and sent to live in different counties. He finds a few things in the room like a letter opener, but none of them will do the job. Ms. Barrows returns and Martin has to quickly change his plans. He makes up a story and tells Ms. Barrows that he is going to kill their employer. He also admits that he is using heroin and will be high when he 揵lows that old goat sky high.� Ms. Barrows asks him to leave her house and Martin leaves with a smirk on his face. The next day at work Martin is called into his employer抯 office.
Jenna’s mother and her get into arguments over Jenna asking her mother to watch her son. Jenna has to pay for daycare after school for him while she is at work and has little money to pay for additional daycare when she would be at college classes. Her mother says that she has raised her children and does not believe that she should have to help her daughter because she received no help with her children. Jenna has a 17 year old sister who does help with watching her son, but Jenna also feels guilty always having to ask her and has no money to pay her to watch her son. Jenna and her sister are close, her sister plans on attending college at the end of her senior year and wants to study to become a doctor.
Seventeen years later, when he comes face to face with his daughter, he is shocked then confused and angry about the situation. He later tells Josie that he had a lot of problems back then and even if he had known about the pregnancy he may not have come back to help Christina. He appears as the independent, successful barrister. At first he says to Christina he wants nothing to do with Josie but when Christina tells him to go and forget them both, he doesn’t. Looking for Alibrandi conveys belonging in a negative way at the start of the novel as Josie feels like she doesn’t belong with her family and with the people at school. She’s still trying to discover her cultural identity and she’s in confusion about where she stands in life and who she belongs to.
Then finally, the Youngers realize the value of pride. People can learn important lessons about life in a variety of ways, not only just by having it taught to them. The younger family learns to live with difficult people, including themselves. For example, how Ruth is able to put up with her husband even though he constantly nags about how nobody helps him. I am Sam In the movie, Sam Dawson is a single father who is mentally challenged. He fights to regain custody of his seven-year-old daughter, Lucy. Despite Sam’s disability and what some people thought of him, he is unequivocally a model father, who should receive the same rights as everyone else. This critique gives examples of how the medical and social models portray Sam’s disability and the challenges he faces in the movie, the impact the movie had on me, possible societal effects and consequences of the portrayal of persons with disabilities and the coverage of disability issues, the challenges a teacher would face in dealing with a person like Sam in the classroom, and examples of support services that would be beneficial. I am Sam has several interwoven themes including, love, parenting, intelligence, positive personal identity, bird images, and the music and lives of The Beatles.

Officers Michael McKie, Khalid Nelson and Denise Albright called their fight club “The Program,” and the teens they recruited as enforcers were called “The Team” (Rayman, 2009). Team members were allowed to extort commissary money, clothing and phone privileges from other city jail inmates. Those who didn’t cooperate when they were asked “are you with it” were beaten and Mr. McKie and Mr. Nelson set the time, place and punishment (Rayman, 2009). I believe that the purpose of this program is for the correctional officers to extort money from other inmates for their own personal gains.
