How to Cure Procrastination Everyone procrastinates, some people just do it more than others. People procrastinate because of anything from perfectionism to just flat out boredom. Procrastination just stresses people out even more and holds them back from succeeding. Everyone suffers from procrastination at some point in their life. There are many solutions to procrastination, three of there are time management, motivation, and to prioritize your life. The first solution to beat procrastination is time management. Single mothers can handle taking care of a child, going to school, and going to work. Therefore, there are no real excuses to not having time to do something important. As long as we use our time wisely, we can achieve all that needs to be done a day. Some tips to manage your time properly are to get a to do list, break up your tasks in a smaller achievable steps, and to write things down so that you do not forget and end up having to do something last minute. Staying motivated is extremely important when it comes to not procrastinating. The key to staying motivated is to have a goal or a “light at the end of the tunnel”. If we have some kind of reward waiting for us, we are more likely to do everything we can to achieve that goal. Commit yourself to working on your goal everyday and avoid procrastination by taking immediate action. Get it out of the way so that you can go about your day without stressing about whether you are going to achieve your goal or not. Remember that you are the only one that is in control of your life and therefore the only person that can decide your fate. Don’t set yourself up for failure, but prepare yourself for setbacks. Make sure to take breaks and not overwhelm yourself with too much in one day. Avoid negative people, but keep the positive around to celebrate your successes. The last way to avoid
