People are struggling to survive everyday because they have no food and shelter. These people may always dig through the trash to find something to eat for the day, not knowing if they will find anything. Families may always live in horrible conditions, having no other choice, because they do not have enough money. It’s extremely hard for them to find well paying jobs in these countries. For most of these people it’s nearly impossible to get out of poverty because they were born and raised in that culture, unless other people who aren’t in poverty help them out.
Animals that was being raised to eat went free because people was not able to tend to them. And that meant starvation . The Black Death made a lot of consequence and effects on every one in England. Prices of good rose, because people was not selling as much and the little they did they made the price go up. People wanted more money to work in those types of deadly environment.
The Industrial Revolution was one of the most significant events that led to advances in technology. It began in England in the early 1700s and traveled to America in the mid 1700s.The industrial revolution which began in England in the late 1700s was caused by many factors. This revolution changed society in many ways. Some of these changes were positive while others were negative. They were weary of the possibility of Glencore selling all the assets of Viterra in an attempt to flip the company; many producers would have went in an uproar because of the lack of competition that would exist following such a movement. Many farmers would take the brunt such a deal, as less competition would lead to other companies offering them less and less for their grain products, while charging more and more for retail goods such as fertilizer. As it so happens, Glencore did not follow a business plan as previously described, and Viterra is thriving in the markets as per
The freight trains were in fact a problem for the farmers. Raising the rates threw the farmers off and with the depression of their business they didn’t have the money to spend to get their produce to markets anyhow. There was practically no competition with the railroad so prices could fluctuate almost however the man in charge wanted them to. When this happened, the little guy would reach an impasse. “That ruins me, do you understand?
The population was estimated to have dropped 50-60%, so the prices of goods rapidly dropped, since there were so few people still alive to buy it. The lower levels of the social chain, like the peasants, serfs, farmers, and factory workers were struck the hardest. (Pollama) Since their living and work conditions were not very sanitary, and their living spaces were often cramped and dirty, they were the easiest targets for the plague. All of the jobs that these people had were now open, and available for people to take. Since the serf population had gotten ridiculously low, plantation owners were forced to start paying workers to tend the farms.
This was not fair as the peasants didn’t have enough money as it was, before they had to pay money to the Church and Nobles. By the time the peasants had paid all of their taxes, they just about had enough money to feed themselves and their families, which meant no luxuries. They were working so hard and yet they didn’t get the money they deserved for doing it. The Revolution changed this. Peasants no longer had to pay taxes to the Church and Nobles, which meant that they didn’t have to just scrape by life, they could enjoy it.
This means the government does not see the need to have as many fire men/women and therefore made many redundant and closed down fire stations in order to save money. This has caused an upset, both with fire men and women local residents as they believe the service times may increase as there is not as many available in comparison to before the redundancies. The same can be said about the police force, there has been a vast decrease between the amount of people the police force take on and train and allow to become a member of the police force as they simply cannot take on the amount that may be needed due to government cutbacks and financial policies. However, a positive affect that can be said about financial policies that result on cutbacks for public services could be that as money is saved for example in reducing the amount of fire stations and fire men/women, the money could be invested in an alternative public service such as the paramedic service or the NHS in order to
More importantly, it hurts the lives of the many people that were working for Hostess. They can't make a living without a job, without a job they wouldn't have the money to pay for their bills or even their house and might even add to the growing population of homeless people. It would also hurt the states in which the bakeries or plants were shut down. Also, the liquidation affects the people who love Hostess, people who grew up with Hostess, and the new-coming babies that won't be able to enjoy any of their products anymore.
