What Are The Environmental Factors Influence Communication

In this piece of work I am going to be writing about different factors that could influence communication. These factors are known as communication barriers. There are ways that these communication barriers could be overcome in a way that would create effective communication. A barrier of communication is something that gets in the way or stops another thing from happening. The first barrier of communication that I am using I an environmental factor. The environmental factor is noise. Noise can affect and influence communication in health and social care settings and this could be postive or negative dependant on the noise. Noise could affect an individual negatively due to having music on this could be too loud in the class room so that nobody can hear anyone else talking to them. This could influence people to shout which could cause people to move closer so that the are not shouting. This barrier of communication could be overcome by turning the music down so that no one has to move and this also means no one would be shouting at each other, though there are other ways that this barrier could be overcome such as wiring notes to each other or putting calming music on that is quiet enough for people to hear and understand each other so that they could communicate in the appropriate manner.…show more content…
This is because seating can affect individuals and influence their communication. A negative way that this could affect individuals communication is by having people sitting facing the wall as this would mean no one would want to communicate to each other. This communication barrier could be overcome by rearranging the seats so that people are able to see each other which would help them to want to communicate with one another, this could potentially mean everyone is able to communicate effectively, this would be a form of positive communication that I influenced by seating
