Guilty or Not The problem in this case is that a boy is charged in the murder of his father. The court appointed 12 people to be jury for this case. The evidence they had was the knife that the boy went to the store and brought after being punched by his dad. Also, a neighbor downstairs and an old lady across the tracks claim that they heard the noise and saw the boy. The boy was said to be at the movies at the time of killing but he can’t remember the movie he saw Eleven of the twelve jurors started out with the assumption that he was guilty and voted guilty. Well apparently, that was all the evidence needed for the eleven to make assumptions. However, there was one juror by the name of Henry Fonda who thought otherwise. That brought his attention to the woman earlier. She had wrinkles on both side of her nose and that she kept rubbing her eyes. He then began to question the juror on what those marks mean. The juror eventually told everyone that it means you wear glasses, but in court the lady didn’t have her glasses on. Henry then stated that the lady possibly couldn’t have her glasses on when looked. He says a person never goes to sleep when their glasses on and always wakes up and rubs their eyes first. So by her not wearing her glasses and by the train moving so fast, there was no way she could see. Once again, votes changed. The vote changed 11 not guilty to 1 guilty. That one standing man was the main juror up for sending the boy to the chair. The man had a bad experience and a kind of hate towards young kids because he once had a boy who walked out on him. However by everyone bringing all the attention towards him the man eventually tried to make a point and stay with his guilty vote, but soon enough he broke down and cried. As he cried, he yelled out not guilty. That final vote turned out to have 12 not guilty and ended the day with the boy been not guilty in court. So with all the assumptions, evidence, and inferences that were made
