G.O.A.T: Greatest Of All Time What does it mean to be the “G.O.A.T?” Although it is not a real, physical award, being the G.O.A.T. means to defy gravity, to be able to control yourself while moving smoothly in the air, to split through double-teams, to carve through defenders like a surgeon, and to change the game forever. To be able to be recognized as the “Greatest Of All Time” is more than just a title, being the greatest means that you have changed the way people view and play the game of basketball. The Black Mamba (Kobe Bryant) and Air Jordan (Michael Jordan) have done so. This comparison is one that will be made for years to come because of a multitude of reasons. Jordan has more titles, but more importantly he demolishes Kobe in Finals MVP’s, which is a much more telling award for a great champion. Why does the Finals M.V.P. award mean so much? For two players, one of which has been in the league far shorter than Kobe, have more scoring titles than he does. So there could even be a debate if Kobe is the best scorer of his own generation!
