Observation ( paper-1) “Columbia YMCA swimming pool observation” Since I spend a fair amount of time volunteering and working-out at the local Columbia YMCA, I decided to carefully observe what cultural relativity takes place around me. When I arrive, my observation’s will be taking place by the pool area (where I normally do warm-up’s). The pool is a junior Olympic size pool, one of two offered in the Columbia area. In this observation I am looking to find who uses the pool and what their primary uses for it are. This will help me understand what cultural activities the pool area has to offer.
Even though this education is readily available for all children it is not compulsory to send your child until they reach the age of 5. Compulsory school age begins at the start of the term following their 5th birthday and most authorities offer places in reception classes after their 4th birthday. Children can leave school on the last Friday in June of the school year they turn 16. The local authority has a duty to offer all children a place who are of compulsory school age. The parents also have the duty to make sure their child/children receive an education during the compulsory school years.
LaShawnda, Elaine, and Tracy had been friends for about three years, meeting for the first time at a pre-adoption workshop sponsored by a local nonprofit adoption agency with a 75-year history of helping children in the city. They had done everything possible to be selected by the agency to adopt a child. This involved allowing social workers to conduct home studies, having their employment, driving, and court records checked, then waiting for about a year until a newborn child was available. Today the women were gathering in Elaine’s backyard, where their kids could play in the wading pool and the adults could sit in the shade and sip iced tea. The occasion was Darcie’s second birthday: she was the oldest of the three kids present, and the
The social worker are required to make visits to the home daycares and childcare facilities twice a week. The information on the spreadsheet consisted of the vendor’s name, address, date, and social worker’s name. On these visits the workers check for cleanliness, safety and made sure that each center or home had the proper amount of children registered and attending their daycare program. This information is viewed weekly by the unit’s supervisors and again by the Chief of Service. This spreadsheet is also use when we are audited by the state.

Water Polo has been in the Olympics since the early 1900's; it is a game of perseverance, speed, and stamina. Players can never touch the bottom or sides of the pool. This makes stamina a key aspect of the game; as treading water becomes the time for players to rest. Water Polo players use a special form of treading water called the,
I am a junior here at Oswego and I played volleyball last year for the 2010 season. I think it needs to be brought to the attention how some of us were treated during pre-season this year. Since we were given a new coach this season I went into tryout with an open mind and excited to be given a new opportunity to play volleyball. Since we were unaware that we needed to get physicals on our own, pre-season was moved to Friday. This gave me only 3 days to prove to coach that I deserve a spot on the roster.
In the mince of that I was training with to personal trainer in between the workouts during the summer. I learned how to work out with proper technique so I won’t hurt myself while lifting and help me prevent injury during the season. I also enjoyed teaching others to lift the right way and it helped the greatly because their strength greatly blossomed. It gave me the confidence that I was doing it right myself too. In the end to show my coaches before my season of my senior year that I was ready to play with the big dogs I showed my hard work.

C. Thesis Statement: The definition of CrossFit is the definition of fitness. D.
