Bullying: A Big Problem with Big Consequences Most people can remember some experience with a bully while growing up. Bullying is the act of one person causing harm both physically and psychologically on another person repetitively, and there are four types: physical, verbal, social, and cyber bullying. Prevention and intervention program should be instituted in all school districts. It is such a big problem in schools everywhere that it can no longer be minimized and trivialized by adults, taken lightly, brushed off, or denied. Thousands of children go to school every day filled with fear and trepidation; other feign illness to avoid being taunted or attacked on the way to school or in the school yard, hallways, and bathrooms; still others manage to make themselves sick at school so as to avoid harassment in the locker room.
My main focus when watching this film was the relationship between Phyllis Dietrichson and Walter Neff’s characters. It is very easy to write off her feelings for him due to her clear motivations throughout the film. However, it seems that these change at the end when she has the opportunity to kill him but instead does not. She shoots him in the arm and, instead of finishing him off, she tells him that she could not bring herself to Rogoff 2 do it. She admits to using him this whole time, but now, somehow, she has fallen in love with him along the way.
One could even say her character develops through her depreciation. She becomes more realistic, more human of a character, as she loses herself to the lies and rumors. A more specific, obvious example from the text is when she reaches her final breaking point. She becomes certain that she would end her life after speaking to her teacher, Mr. Porter. It’s a crucial moment in the book, the deciding factor in a story we already knew the outcome of.
Anyway, Ashley Judd`s reliance upon reasonable evidence is most persuasive as the base for claim of fact that she didn’t had a plastic surgery at all and claim of value that people should not judged woman body all the time because it would reduce our personhood, voices, potential and accomplishments, sufficiently backing the our bodies that become a source of speculation, ridicule and invalidation. Judd used many rhetorical strategies in her article such as assumptions and personal anecdote, inductive reasoning, connotation, euphemism and pathos argument of her backing to support her statements in her essay, which I think her argument was very intensity and feasible. Her argument work successfully, at least I start to believe some social media did report the unfair, not reality news. Assumptions she has are reporters misjudge her appearance and the patriarchy is not men. Her argument based on these assumptions.
Ophelia was not a protagonist, nor was she an antagonist; she was actually more of a catalyst for change. I chose Ophelia to study for this specific purpose. She was a young girl, characterized by her innocence and naivety and one that ended up dying before her full potential was ever realized. Ophelia’s main personality trait is a tie between her innocence, or her purity, and her perfection. She did what she was told without question, even when it went against her own desires, shown when her father ordered her to stop seeing Hamlet, to which she responded with promises that she “shall obey, my lord,” (1.3.136).

This can mainly be seen between a student and a teacher, another adult, or just a simple student with student. The same attitude that is being used toward parents is used against school officials. Schools should enforce more disciplinary action against these rude teens so as to make them pay for their lack of respect. As teenagers go about their daily lives, they observe others being rude to their friends and their parents, so they in turn do the same. The amount of peer pressure is increasing; therefore, it results in conforming to their peers’ expectations.
Didacticism is used in this excerpt. The author wants to teach the audience a lesson; Act when you have to, because action is better than inaction. Furthermore, this theme could be used in my life often. If at school, someone is being teased I could react and try to stop it, or I could just walk away, but it is smarter to act right away. I once came across this kind of situation where two of my friends were fighting about something very insignificant.
She can sense right away the segregation in the class room and very violent tendencies, as a fight broke out the first day. She is torn on how to get to these kids. The next day she tries again, but certain people do not want to sit next to each other and cause problems for everyone. Mrs. Gruewell decides to tell the class to get up and everyone move around to a different seat and this is where you’re going to sit for the rest of the time. Mrs. Gruewell uses the Pathfinder Style which seeks both a high degree of effectiveness and a high degree of member satisfaction, believing that greater effectiveness is possible when all members are involved and problem solving is done through teamwork (Brown, 2011 p. 92).
In the play A Doll’s House, the main character Nora Helmer is definitely an admirable person. Although she was subservient and flighty in the beginning, she went through a dramatic change during the play. Nora is admirable for having the courage to make a radical change in her life. It shows how she developed into a wiser, more determined woman who learns to respect herself. Because of logical reasons, Nora Helmer was right to abandon her children and she is admirable.
