Family Nursing Diagnosis NUR/405 Healthy Communities: Theory and Practice Latorya Mobley 02/03/2014 S. Maxwell Family Nursing Diagnosis M.R. is a 32 year old Hispanic, female, she’s 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 210 pounds. M.R. has two chronic illnesses: Hypertension and Diabetes, with prescribed medication that she takes twice a day. M.R. is a full time cashier at Walmart, and lives in a subdivision in East Tampa with her two children and dog name Benji. D.R. is a 12 year old male who does not like school, but enjoys little league football and baseball. He has asthma which is controlled by Albuterol inhaler. J.R. is a 9 year old female, who loves school and does well academically. She also enjoys extracurricular activities such as soccer and cheerleading. J.R. has no health issues. The family live in a family oriented subdivision, which has amenities they enjoy such as recreation center and pool. M.R. is receiving government assistance which pays a portion of her rent. The home is a spacious 3 bedroom 2 and a half bathroom, with garage and modern amenities. M.R. dislike the way the homes are situated. She feels she has no privacy because both homes to her right and left are extremely close. M.R. would also like a larger backyard. The family feel safe in their community because the police patrol often to maintain peace and order. M.R. is single, never been married, and recently departed from a 5 year relationship. M.R. mother and sister live close by and the family eat Sunday dinner together each week. M.R. has no other siblings beside her sister and she reports they have a “fair” relationship. Values and customs are very important to M.R. She is Catholic and believe in GOD, She believe in caring for family, and she also belief in doing good for others as it will be returned to you. M.R. father and extended family
