Summarize the policies and procedures of the setting relevant to promoting children and young people’s positive behaviour . The behaviour policy outline the schools aims and how to create a positive community atmosphere which children can learn effectively by promoting good standards of behaviour when promoting positive behaviour in school there are policies and procedures that all staff need to be aware of the main policies relating to behaviour. It help to talk to students about their behaviour, both as individuals and as a group. To tell them what we expect and to praise them when they give it to us and to praise good behaviour as well as good work . as a school we have behaviour management tool kit displayed on the walls in the classroom and they are used as reference to control behaviour in the classroom . we also have LADS I’m listening which is also displayed within the classroom and is used as reference by the teachers and adults as a method of controlling behaviour during lessons. The range of rewards in school includes adults are aware that the tone of your voice is very important when addresssing the students displaying clear expectation and the consequences that follow to the class . the behaviour for learning should be clearly displayed in the classroom e.g. C1 = 1st warning C2 = 2nd warning C3 = faculty detention Staff need to issue a faculty detention letter and contact home by letter or by phone whichever is the preferred method indicated on the students records . if the child fails to attends the faculty detention the child will then be reffered to the head of faculty who will then issue the child with a C4 = full school detention (after school for 40 minutes ). In addition all adults in school are expected to act as good role models and to behave in a consistent
