I would change the administrative passwords on all systems routinely, implement a firewall program with remote access control which will not allow, hackers entry to your company’s system. Without passwords being assigned to data and systems, this simply protection becomes a target for hackers. Identity theft occurs in some of the largest companies and often times this security breach is kept quiet. This company has been hacked for customer’s birthdates twice in one month. This means that they are experiencing severe vulnerabilities and they need to take action immediately.
| ETHICS GAME STIMULATION | | | | * Ethics Game Stimulation The ethics game stimulation was very reflective and gave me a lot of knowledge as to how ethics can play an important part of a critical business decision. As the quality controls manager of G-Bio Sports I had to make ethical decisions on two issues which I will be discussing in this journal. I will also include the decision making steps I took to ethically address the issues. As well as the lenses I used to make my decisions and how the decisions influenced my management. To conclude the journal I will explain how I will use the concepts from this stimulation in my own workplace.
Many people question why it is that Edward Snowden leaked the documents showing what the NSA was doing. In the article “The Geeks who Leak” MichaelKelley Scherer quotes Edward Snowden saying “The public needs to decide whether these programs and policies are right or wrong". Edward Snowden feels that we should have a right to say whether what the NSA and Government does it right or wrong and whether we want hem to interfere in our personal lives when I comes so social media or not. He has been charged with theft of government property, unauthorized communication of national defense information and willful communication of classified communications intelligence information to an unauthorized person. Two of these three charges violates the Espionage act of 1917 which was intended to criminalize individuals who engaged in spying.
DEVELOPMENT OF AN ETHICS PROGRAM FOR COMPANY X Gabriel Melendez Western Governors University DEVELOPMENT OF AN ETHICS PROGRAM FOR COMPANY X Abstract The purpose of this research paper is to create an ethics program that can be published in an employee handbook, specifically targeting new employees. My company, Company X, describes four elements: confidentiality; conflict of interests; discrimination and harassment; and drug and alcohol abuse and the stance my company takes on each one. This paper includes three topics that are included in our training program. There is also a section that that explains how employee misconduct should be monitored, audited as well as reported. In order to evaluate the success of the ethics program
Unfortunately, your company has suffered multiple security breaches that have threatened customers’ trust in the fact that their confidential data and financial assets are private and secured. Credit-card information was compromised by an attack that infiltrated the network through a vulnerable wireless connection within the organization. The other breach was an inside job where personal data was stolen because of weak access-control policies within the organization that allowed an unauthorized individual access to valuable data. Your job is to develop a risk-management policy that addresses the two security breaches and how to mitigate these
Unfortunately, these decisions did not come to me as intuitively as I would have liked. I later analyzed the issues to gain a comprehensible perception of each issue. An analysis of the stakeholders was conducted to identify low to high risks for the shareholders and the CEO of G-BioSport. My conclusion was based on the duties that I should advocate ethically within the company and of personal belief which was to disseminate the information broadly regarding risk for specific groups, and offer to refund or replace the contaminated products at the purchase
In order for us to determine our liability, should Paula sue for discrimination, we need to understand what the courts consider a hostile working environment, and determine if Sam has, in fact, created one. According to the U.S. Supreme Court, the frequency of the discriminatory conduct, the severity of the conduct, which includes whether it was physically threatening or humiliating, and whether or not the actions unreasonably interfere with the employee’s job performance, are all factors that determine if a hostile work environment exists (Cheeseman, 2010). The first factor to consider is that Paula and Sam had a sexual relationship that Paula ended. While there is no law prohibiting such a relationship it can be considered motive for Sam’s behavior. Secondly, it is Paula’s indication that Sam started exhibiting unwanted behaviors after the break up.
Criminal Justice Ethics Simulation 1. My first chose in decision 1. Would be to challenge my partner about how he conducted the interview. Although, my partner might have strong beliefs that the two offenders committed the crime he was justified in how he went about properly conducting the interview. First, he broke the department policy by not video recording the interview which was essential to built a solid case if they had confess in which he claimed the two did.
Ethics Game Reflection Garry Frazier ETH/316 September 19, 2012 Jeffrey Wisdom Ethics Game Reflection Recently two ethical games were played for the purpose of helping the modern employee recognize certain criteria’s in making ethical decision in the workplace. Examples of these criteria’s are identifying the issues, the steps that were taking when addressing those issues, what perspectives did the person use when making the decision, how did the steps influence the final decision, and finally can the concepts from a hypothetical simulation get applied to everyday work life in reality. The first simulation was called the Mysterious Roses, and from the exercise along with skimming the text, the understanding is that an employee has a dilemma, on whether or not to
