Ethics Awareness Inventory Shawaun Cunningham PSY490 April 29, 2013 Jane Northrop Ethics Awareness Inventory Many individuals share different views on ethics, some believe that it is a moral, and immoral behavior, verses right and wrong. However, their views may vary based on beliefs and ethical decisions. To understand the ethical nature of individual’s decisions, would be to take a look at their personality other than passing judgment on their actions. The ethical perspective is based on the characteristics on an individual’s belief and ethical moral values as well as the perspective views that is impacting society today. The code of conduct plays an important role in ethic principals and professional psychology.
I was in a bad position as long as I was less experienced then other team members. But I was passionate of this job and learned many things day buy day treated my job not just the way to get money but as a good place to get a qualification and become a professional in hospitality industry. The manager was noticing it and had a conversation with the boss to explain my potential and why they should keep me but others. It begins with defining what business ethics is, leading into a thorough definition of ethical business. These two sections will examine principles both ethical and moral that can occur in business. How business is conducted by the individuals of organizations will be discussed as well. The next sections pertain to organizational design, structure and the importance of ethics.
She stopped to get something to eat and saw her whole group meeting without her, she felt extremely unappreciated and knew the group members didn’t respect her contributions. When Janet missed a meeting to help her boyfriend that shouldn’t have been a valid excuse, Christine said nothing and carried on. The next mishap Janet didn’t answer her phone when Christine tried contacting her. The lack of communication led to misunderstanding between what Janet wanted out of the project and what Christine thought Janet wanted from the project. Christine was a marter and didn’t mind taking over the project and letting Janet be a loafer.
Value Alignment Team B will analyze the organization Starbucks. This evaluation will analyze the subsequent evolution of personal values and workplace values within Starbucks. This paper will describe how an individual’s values drive that individual’s actions and behaviors, and include an analysis of the alignment between personal values and actions and behaviors. Also outlined in this examination is a description of the differences of personal values and those values of the organization. Values are important in everyday life, and play a role in both personal lives and in the workplace.
The ethics awareness inventory consists of four categories of ethical thoughts used to determine the profile of an individual, which should reflect the individual’s beliefs. After taking the multiple question inventories it is apparent that the ethical profile most closely aligned to is (O) obligation, and the ethical profile least closely aligned is (E) equity (The Williams Institute for Ethics and Management, 2012). The ethics perspective of (O) obligation, “individuals who most closely aligned with obligation tend to base his or her ethical perspectives on an individual’s duty or obligation to do what is morally right” (The Williams Institute for Ethics and Management, 2012, p. 4). The ethical style is individuals believe that “human’s intrinsic value, meaning the individual has a right to individual respect. Therefore an individual cannot support social traditions and policies aimed at the “best interests of society as a whole” (The Williams
Shank went on to mention that when she witnesses her boss’s involvement with the store she feels how important the business is to him, he is willing to take ideas and feedback she hears from the customers. Shank stated that when she observes her boss’s behavior it motivates her in a sense that her position in the store makes a difference and does matter. Path-Goal Theory Path-Goal theory of leadership suggests that a manager’s objective is to show his/her employees how their performance directly affects his/her reception of desired rewards. Stephanie and Alex have two different bosses with different leadership behaviors. Stephanie’s boss showed the Supportive as well as the Achievement behavior. Using the Supportive behavior, Jonathan, Stephanie’s manager, tells his employees what to do in a friendly manner. A lot of employees want to work for him because his management style is relaxed and he also assigns his employees to work on different stations at the grocery store so they do not get bored.
Such quantities means Hershey must have very reliable logistics systems. So, the senior management decided to implement the ERP systems gradually.
