Sasha Gomez Heart Diseases Most people believe that Mexicans have the highest risk of getting diseases due to their obesity and the fatty foods that they eat. I agree with this theory because a lot of Mexicans are overweight and don't really watch what they eat, but this isn't just the Mexicans. The Corpus Christy heat project precedes this hypothesis wrong. They performed community based surveillance among all residents from Nueces County in Texas and found out by death certifications that Mexicans Americans have rates equal to those of non-Hispanic whites when it comes to heat diseases. They said that a lot of Mexicans do die because of diabetes which is a heart disease every common in the Mexicans race. There are many types of heart diseases, some that are very common and some are not. Diabetes is a very common disease. Diabetes is the resulted from defects in insulin secretion.
