The growing of English an as international language is difficult to be denied. English is used in every sector such industry, trade, education and so on. Considering the important role of English in human resources development, the government includes English in the educational curriculum as a primarily school subject. It means the students are required to have skills in English; speaking, reading, listening, and writing. In contrast, many students who still are not ready yet to master those skills. One of the skills that attract author attention is reading skill especially on the reading comprehension. It is being crucial one for the student to master English because reading comprehension would dig the student’s comprehension up upon the target language that they learned. Teaching learning strategies and methods play important role in term of mastering reading comprehension. Many strategies and method that are offered to teaching language .One of them is Task Bask Language Teaching. Yet, whether enhance reading comprehension by Using Task Based Language Teaching for Second Grade Junior High School is effective? ABSTRACT Reading as one of the four language skills need to be developed in the teaching of English. In many foreign language teaching or second language, reading gets special attention. That is because most students think of reading as one of the important goals. Reading allows them to obtain information and entertainment in addition to their studies and career goals.
