English Allusions 2/23-Pale Horse Origin- It’s a biblical horse that death rides in Rev. 6:8 Meaning- a representation of Death, as in literature or the Bible. 2/24-Trojan horse Origin-Comes from the Trojan war when the greeks built a giant wooden horse and hid men inside. They left the horse outside of Troy and pretended to sail away as a sign that the Trojans won. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, decisively ending the war.
