In the last 30 years businesses’ environment have changed from what they had been for the previous 100 years. Modern business dynamics has become complex such that organization requires multiple information systems to support their business processes. However, these systems may become difficult to manage if they are not integrated and create obstacles in efficient productivity. Workplace monitoring is one of the controversial issue involving around surveillance in workplace. Should employee have an expectation of a right to privacy in the workplace? To answers this question we should discuss different type of electronic monitoring and real law cases that about invitation privacy right at work place. First of all we have to know what it means by employee monitoring and is monitoring necessary at workplace. Employee monitoring as the name suggest it is a tool for monitoring employees at workplace behavior, productivity and performance. Employers argue that they have lack of awareness about the character of employee or performance of individual, it is important for organization to know about their employee. Companies spend huge amount of investment on employees’ salary and also they have to achieve company’s goals. Employers say that this practice helps them to focus on measuring employees’ performance and their characteristics. Employers want to ensure that the workers are honest and they perform according to the expectation of the organization. Performance monitoring and behaviors are part of production process which takes place in real time. However, excessive monitoring can restrict the employee’s privacy. Various ways could be used by employers could to impose employee monitoring.
