Music is often a major part of a teenager’s separate world and therefore has long been a staple of kids' media diet, being the media of choice for many adolescents, frequently edging out television. Many teens use music to shape their cultural identity and to help define their social group, whichever is the case- music affects emotions and teens use music to enhance or intensify their mood or to change mood directions. Some social groups are identified primarily by their choice of music- many times this is individually characterized by the clothing one wears, the way an individual wears makeup, the people they choose to call “friends” or be around with and any other social activity one may be involved in. A concern to many interested in the development and growth of teenagers is the negative and destructive themes of some rock, hip-hop, rap
In this essay I will be talking about how children are affected by television. Although many parents these days do not want their children to watch television, there are a lot of educational shows available today. Many parents may not want their children to watch modern television, and I would have to tell those parents that there are some shows out there these days that are very educational and they are aimed towards the young. Watching the educational cartoons can be very helpful for a child’s mind. There can be positive results emotionally, physically, and psychologically.
These companies will use beautiful models, sexuality, and bad behavior to make it more appealing to the younger crowd. Little do these companies know, the promotions they produce influence the youth. They add these ideas to the everyday lives of teenagers. Many youth believe that what they see on TV, what celebrities sing about, and the image music videos portray are real and catch their attention, making it seem normal to be this way. Teenagers allow the media to influence them so they hopefully become popular and well known.
How can Advertising affect our children? “ Marketing cause strifes at exactly the most powerless age for kids to be in strife”-John Condry. In these days Television marketing has become a part of young people day-t-day lives, which can affect children. Because they are simply impacted by advertisements which substance unconsciously or consciously influence the family’s make a purchase behavior; because of kids requesting for the items seen broadcast on Television. Firstly, the ideas of being isolated from a friendship group is a daunting vision for many youngsters, and are thus willing to adopt the groups norms and values if it means they will acquire popularity or just to be part of a group. The peer group is a secondary agent of socialisation which means they develop and further reinforce the learning one was once subjected to in early childhood. A peer group that holds good values, like hard work may encourage its members into positive things, yet one that has detrimental values may lead to deviant behaviour. In spite of this influence, some may argue that the media in today’s media saturated world has become the most influential agent of socialisation. Stereotypes related to gender are regularly portrayed in the media.
We Beat the Street gives youth the eye and encouragement to become determined to succeed by reaching out to educate and mentoring them about how significant life is. They portray to youth the moments in their life when they had to live above the influence and depend on each other for strength. We Beat the Street teaches youth a valuable lesson of making mistakes and how they can ruin everything. For example Rameck picked fights with people that could have cost him his whole future. Each time he made a mistake he was very close to jeopardizing everything just for acting foolish.

In Luhrmann's adaptation of the play, the film, Luhrmann has make the story more suitable for teenagers. With the action and the violence Luhrmann knows that this is what teenagers respond to and enjoy to watch. In the film Luhrmann makes it more about visual which in this day younger people respond more to watching and listening to the sounds and music reading or hearing just words, even if there's nobody speaking teenagers can still understand the plot with music, costumes, settings and facial expressions. Luhrmann includes some quotes in the film but not all of them, just picking out the most important ones e.g 'O brawling love, O loving hate.' In Shakespeare's time it appears then in Verona it was a patriarchal society, most of the men in Verona didn't believe in woman equality.
Children are meeting sexual predators on the internet and forming relationships with them and unknowingly allowing them into their lives. Parents must talk to their children about the dangers of the internet. Technology is a great learning tool for them and they will be far more advanced than we were as children, but it also opens the door for unwanted predators who will take advantage of children. With a society more focused on wealth and having a good job and long lasting careers some children are often left in the care of daycare providers. You can often look on the internet and find video after video of the abuse and neglect that goes on in daycares.
Prevention Program Teen pregnancy is on a continuous rise in the United States because teenagers are having sexual relations at younger ages. This is an epidemic leading to young people losing out on many positive chances to better their lives such as; finishing school, having a stable financial plan, and the ability to be emotionally and mentally healthy. Many teenagers aren’t using rational thinking when they are presented with the opportunity to interact with others sexually, the consequences rarely cross their minds. There are many prevention programs out there and they all have a similar, but unique approach. The overall goal is to figure out a way to decrease the amount of teen parents.
