Education Should Be Geared To The Economic Necessity Of Society “He who opens a school door, closes a prison.” - Victor Hugo Whenever we think of education, the first scene that comes to our mind is a classroom full of students leading by a teacher. And the importance of that classroom is heavily felt & understood through the words of Victor Hugo – a French novelist. We all have heard a saying since our childhood – “Education is the backbone of a nation” – and that very well holds a great significance. To realize the significance, we need to put our attention to the economic system for a moment. Some questions have become eminent now, “What is an economic system?”, “Who rides the economic system?” To describe the most basic idea of it, an economic system is a system for producing, distributing & consuming goods & services, including combinations of various institutions. So technically, as far as the extents of our societies are concerned, everyone’s contributing to the economic system & therefore, riding it. The compositing is about “education should be geared to the economic necessity of society”, we need to ask ourselves, what are reasons that should gear education to the economic necessity or even it should be!! Education provides literacy & the literacy rate of a nation or society is kind of like an advertisement board of the locality; the more the literacy rate, the more we assume (and practically notice) that the economic condition of thereby is stabled.
