Therefore Austria wants to attack Serbia. This is one great example of how war and about the battles fought when one person or nation feels that another has done a bad deed to them is still relevant today. On September 1, 1939, World War 2 started because of the invasion of Poland by Germany. “Hitler had long planned an invasion of Poland, a nation to which Great Britain and France had guaranteed military support if it was attacked by Germany.” (History 1). Since Germany did invade Poland, which was a bad deed to the Poland’s, Great Britain, Poland, and France went back and attacked Germany.
Ife Otukoya Period 5 Women in the Civil War: Positive or Negative A lot of historians would say that the Civil War took a negative toll on the country, but I say that it was positive. I say it’s positive because first, slaves were allowed to vote, and women’s rights were extended. They were able to take on the jobs and responsibilities once thought to be a man’s. In the present day women are out numbering men in the nursing profession. Before the civil war it was mostly men who were nurses, but since a lot of them went to war, the ladies took on the job.
Third, wherever Germany in Eastern Europe, specialized units called Einsatzgruppen were created to murder Jews and political opponents in mass shootings. Finally, Jews and Romani were ordered to be live in overcrowded ghettos, there they were then transported by freight train to extermination camps. Extermination camps were camps that were built by Nazi Germany, during the World War II, that were designed to kill millions of people by gassing and extreme work under terrible living conditions. The Nazis were not alone in this effort. Parish churches and the Interior Ministry supported the genocide by presenting birth records showing who was Jewish; the Post Office delivered the deportation and denaturalization orders; the Finance Ministry took away Jewish property; German businesses fired Jewish workers and took away stock that belonged to the Jews.
Using my own research i will discover whether the World War One had a positive effect on the role of women. After the immediate rise in female unemployment at the beginning of the war due to the ‘middle-classes wish to economise’ (first world war, accessed 07/01/09), the only option to replace the volunteers gone to front was to employ women in the jobs they had left behind. This was supported by all the major feminist groups, who suddenly ‘became avid patriots and organisers of the women in support of the war effort’ (war and gender, accessed 22/01/09). Overall women’s employment increased from ‘three million in 1914 to five million in 1918’ (Murphy, p373, 2000). For many of the women the war was ‘a genuinely liberating experience’ (first world war, accessed 07/01/09), and made the women feel useful as citizens.
The Holocaust was one of the worst events to ever happen to mankind. It was started by the Fuhrer of Germany, Adolf Hitler, who thought that the Aryan race was superior to every other race. He had a massive hatred for the Jewish race and decided to try and exterminate every living Jewish person. He killed around two-thirds of all the European Jews (Byers 10). World War II was going on at the same time as the Holocaust.
Many women also worked in aircraft factories fixing damage warplanes. Women would work 80 hours a week helping save time and money by fixing planes so they could fly again rather then having to build new ones (HubPages). Doing so was a very effective way of getting more pilots in the air to help win the war. Women worked long and hard hours to help produce weaponry and tools for soldiers, which in the end, was one of the biggest factors to how
This period was known as the stage of final judgment. The camp was released by the Soviet Army (Russian), in 1945. It is believed that more than 1.3 million prisoners were executed in the concentration camp, mostly Jews, Gypsies and Poles. Today, the concentration camp of Auschwitz has been converted into a museum, in which are seen the atrocities committed during the Nazi regime. Bergen-Belsen The Bergen-Belsen concentration camp was initially intended as a prisoner war camp, where, be exchanged for German prisoners of war camp prisoners.
Most of people answer this question negatively because they have several reasons for being opposed. They think it is a disadvantage for the army. Nevertheless, women should not be discouraged in the field of military service because of their physical appearancesI believe that women can serve in the army despite disadvantages. Most of women are against the war and why are women the natural enemies of war? Women are more patient than men and it affects them a lot.
Some of the prisoners were taken to the Baltic sea and were shot down by SS guards. Others were put on death marches going to Launberg in Eastern Germany. Buchenwald Death March On April 7, 1945, 30,00 prisoners were evacuated on a death march going deep into Germany, no set destination. On April 11 the remaining prisoners alive took control of the camp by using rocks and there numbers to over throw the German guards. American forces came the same day of the revolt.
Sunny Liu English 101 Mary Fox November 28, 2012 Women can join the army as men Today, in any truly enlightened countries, women play essential roles in political, economic and cultural arenas. It is a strongly held belief that kitchen and laundry are for women and wars are for men. Even though women are allowed to join the army in some countries, most of them are far away from the frontier. Actually, whether ladies should be entitled to serve in the military has sparked spirited debate all over the world. At present, some people assert that women should be allowed to join the armed force because the application of high technology makes women’s participation in the army become usual.
