Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends. Friendships seem like a traveling bus, sometimes some old people get off as some new get on. Though I agree that we should cherish our old friends, actually, we have to admit that some old friends who are often limited by various factors can spent only a section of your life, so obviously, it’s more important to make new friends. Few people can keep long relationships with their kindergarten friends after growing up, right? If you move to a new place, the relationship may fade. What’s more, with time flying, most of us grew into different people who don’t share the same hobbies and interests, the communication will not be enjoyable as before. So you have to make new friends. Since you attract each other to become friends, there must be a lot of new topics to talk about, new activities to do together, which will bring you a good time. Making new friends have more positive impacts than keeping old friends. Firstly, new friends can help you to examine and develop yourself. Old friends knew your personality shortcomings well and as a result of the long-time relationship, they will ignore these disadvantages automatically while new friends will tell you directly. For example, if you often lose your temper, old friends are used to bearing it and in return you can’t realize its badness. But in face of your new friends, you would control your temper consciously. Secondly, new friends bring you not only a joyful relationship but also a new experience, a new world, which you can’t get from old friends.
