I thought reading was boring and I could never get into any book I would read. I figured if I found a book that I really liked I would start to read more. in fact I now have a favorite book call Zeitoun. It became my favorite book because it was of the setting, characters, and the outcome. One reason Zeitoun became one of my favorite book is because of its setting.
moment. I like how the author stated that a certain abnormality may be just that- a certain abnormality. But, apply that abnormality to a character, especially in literature, and you get a unique hero/heroine who'll make an amazing impact on the story. I also found it ironic how characters of stories with abnormalties are discriminated against in the story, yet they end up being the hero/heroine of the story. Also, in the real world, we'd feel sorry for these people, sympathize, or even evade them, viewing them as different, and maybe even discriminate against them (meaniieeess!).
Faber’s Knowledge Books are something everyone takes advantage of, nobody knows how important they are until they’re gone. In Ray Bradbury’s novel Fahrenheit 451 Montag goes to Faber to seek advice about the books. He finds out Faber’s beliefs in book’s purpose, quality, and the leisure of people. Faber also believes that fear of the truth in books drove people away, and now without the books there is only chaos. When Faber told Montag what the purpose of books were, he spoke, “Books are a receptacle where we stored a lot of things we were afraid we might forget,” so without them everything would slowly be forgotten (83).

Looking at myself as a writer and the processes I go through when writing might help me identify my weaknesses and adopt new habits more conducive to good writing. Not only has this class changed what I define to be a good writer, but this past unit has also taught me many new writing strategies that could help me become that good writer. Prior to taking this class, my definition of a good writer was rather basic. I considered a good writer to be anyone who could effectively convey a message to a reader.

In the novel, they really struggled with many things - the adoption process, Sohrab trusting Amir and most importantly, Sohrab's attempted suicide. These hardships really were important to the overall story and I wish they were included. Not only did they not expand this time period, the discussion between Soraya and Amir about children was never shown. I think this was important because they vetoed adoption in the book, but made an exception in the end. I think that should have
