During these practices, I would often hear senior, Sammie Bane, say, “Oh my gosh, why are we still doing these same drills over and over again?” In response to that, Coach Rieckers would reply, “Do you want to go to state and earn respect from the community?” Growing up in a small town, everyone knew everything about each other. This was also the same concept when it came to sports at BCHS. Brownstown was always known for great volleyball, football, and boys’ basketball teams. These teams always went far into the tournament every year in strive to win a state championship title. The same was not known for the girls’ basketball team to achieve.
This is better than placing the products in tennis department stores because many recreational players will shop where they already have to go. They want affordable, comfortable and easily accessed products. Prince could hold an event or activity for recreational tennis players to play tennis, eat food, play games and participate in raffles. To reach the junior players, they can advertise online, through social media, radio stations commonly liked by youth, and youth magazines. They could also hold an event such as a training camp day, where the kids could learn basic skills from famous professional tennis players.
I replied back, “don’t worry, I’ll be careful, I promise”. The next week I was on the Monroe Monarchs Track Team. Mr. Slattery just so happened to be the track coach, so I was even more enthusiastic than ever. The fourth grade track team consisted of four teammates, Me, Jeff Stout, Lamar Taylor and Eric Bradley. We ran the four hundred meter relay and the one hundred meter dash.
I had many hopes and dreams about my basketball career. I pushed myself to become the best basketball player I could possibly become. I spent many hours working on my game, working on my skills, and working out to better myself. I was a part of my high school varsity team and took the season very seriously. This team was my second home.
This feedback has informed me that I am progressing well as a footballer. School Football In one year of my school football my team reached the final but last year in Year 6 I was chosen by my school to represent them in the Ku-Ring Gai PSSA Football Trials. Coach Newton always tells the boys however fast you run, run faster. This goal is also achievable. Their school has already won 25 championships. They have the best runners and motivation out of any school that runs cross country. Their runners were already placing in the top.
Literacy Autobiography Playing sports, socializing with friends, and working – All reasons why I am an alliterate reader and writer. I never realized the importance of paying attention in school to learn to read and write properly when I was younger. Although I graduated from high school and have a diploma, the lack of initiative and motivation in school has led me to be an alliterate reader and writer today. While in high school, playing sports was more important then learning how to read and write properly. Socializing with friends and going out to have fun was another reason why I did not learn how to write proficiently.
My schedule consisted of waking up early every day and taking a 1.5 mile run, followed by taking 500 jump shots, a similar exercise Kobe performed during his high school career. Conquering the fear of failure became an imaginary bond between Kobe and I. I knew that working hard all summer honed my physical and mental edge on the court. When tryouts came around, the odds were against me, as the team roster had been established, but I did my best Kobe impersonation and played harder than anyone else on the court. I made the team because just like Kobe, I wasn’t going to fail. This experience taught me to have fortitude, and to always strive for my dreams.
In the end to show my coaches before my season of my senior year that I was ready to play with the big dogs I showed my hard work. I was the top performer out of all of the team of 65 players. It was a combination of three lifts that consisted in max squat, max bench press, and a max hang clean. I squat 550 lbs, bench 320 lbs. and hang cleaned 240 lbs.
Asking lots of questions to my friends trying to understand the game and soak up as much information as I could to prepare. As the weeks passed I became more and more excited to start playing but also I was nervous to try out against so my friends that had a lot more experience than I did. I just wanted to perform well. I felt confident In my know how, I just hope I could put it into play effectively The week of tryouts were intense. The weather was miserable.
