DISC Platinum Rule Assessment Learning Team A MGT/307 August 18, 2010 Steve Rosales DISC Platinum Rule Assessment Individual Dimensions of Behavior According to the DISC Platinum Rule, my behavioral style is classified as an Interactive. Interactive behavioral style traits include being persuasive and inspirational. Interactives like myself admire people that are able to express themselves. They are comfortable delegating as well as taking charge (University of Phoenix, 2010). The Interactive style is much more relationship oriented compared to being task oriented. This type of behavior style would rather interact with clients at dinner or lunch rather than work inside an office building. Individual Predominate Behavioral Style According the DISC Platinum Rule, my predominate behavioral style is “the enthusiast”. The enthusiast enjoys status and prestige. The enthusiast prefers to be free and open. Any form of restriction or confinement makes the enthusiast uncomfortable. The enthusiast has a high level of self-confidence, which is one reason they are able to withstand criticism. The enthusiast sees life as continually fresh, because each person or situation is interesting (University of Phoenix, 2010). The enthusiast is the least open of all the Interactives, and is the most direct. Strengths and Weaknesses The interactive style’s strengths include persuading, optimistic, motivating, and enthusiastic (University of Phoenix, 2010). The interactive style’s weaknesses include disorganization, carelessness, exaggeration, and poor follow-through (University of Phoenix, 2010). Agree or Disagree I agree for the most part with the Platinum DISC Rule assessment. I sometimes am a party-animal as the assessment states. I enjoy to have fun and to be social.
