The Miracle of Guadalupe was officially recognized by the Vatican in 1745. The second sanctuary was declared a Basilica in 1904, but by then it had begun to slowly sink into the soft, sandy soil beneath it. A new Basilica, of modern design and enormous capacity, was dedicated in October of 1976. In this and other churches dedicated to La Virgen de Guadalupe throughout the nation, millions of the faithful will gather December 12 for processions, prayers, songs, dances, and fireworks to honor "La Reina de México" (the Queen of Mexico). Juan Diego's mantle, carefully preserved in the new Basilica, has been subjected to extensive analysis over the years.
The next migration that took place was in 1815 and 1865 and about three thousand Amish immigrated to the Ohio area, New York, Indiana and then to Illinois. Liturgical Expression: The Lunar New Year Mass For Vietnamese Catholics, the Lunar New Year Mass is a very important liturgical event related to very much Vietnamese culture. I would like to describe the Lunar New Year Mass at Vietnamese community at St, Henry Church couple months ago. There was the couplet (parallel sentences) hang at both sides of the crucifixion meaning of God and spring season. People used yellow and red colors to decorate the Altar. The word “Asian” is often used to describe an actual race. An actual race requires four distinct characteristics to be considered a distinct race, but does Asian actually qualify as a certain race? (Blum, L 2010) In my paper I will go over the six characteristics that are requirements for a certain race.
Though his efforts were helpful, his mother left to go to America and make more money for them and come back. Well, she never returned and Enrique missed her. He decided to leave and go to America and find her, but had to work hard to get the chance to even attempt it. In Mexico, child labor laws are almost non-existent. So working at a young age in unsafe conditions is a normal situation for these kids.

In front of the retablo may be a variety of items such as sugar or chocolate skulls, paper mache, or favorite foods that that loved on had like. This is a tradition for a way for Mexican Americans to connect to their culture and
Other people in my community are treated differently, but not because of their heritage, but of their lack to become Americans. Many people here in Riverside never learn English and they do not try to embrace life in America. Instead many people live in their own “Little Mexico” here in Riverside. These are the people that get treated differently because they are not trying to become Americans they are just Mexicans living in America. Really I think that this is a problem all over the Nation with many new immigrants who do not want to become Americans they just want to live here and make money with out trying to be part of
