The poem “Desiderata” is basically a group of general rules to be happy. The poem teaches us the way to achieve true happiness in life. The author describes the behaviors that we have to have in order to experience a life full of happiness.
Desiderata makes me feel like it is not that hard to live life to its fullest and feel happy on a daily basis. A person doesn’t have to be the best in the world, the smarter, the prettiest, the bravest to be happy, that is, every human being is different to the other and by comparing one’s self to its neighbor a person isn’t going to achieve the true happiness.
Furthermore, a ego-centric person who doesn’t listen to other people’s opinion won’t be fully happy either, since it’s known that an ignorant
