This essay will outline the good and the bad things he has done to China during his time as emperor. Qin Shi Huangdi was a skilled person who had many amazing plans and projects for the future. Some of them were made possible but his intention of staying ruler for 10,000 generations never came true. At that time he had the power to do anything to China and one of his biggest goals were to unify the whole of China. He made many outstanding creations and rules for China that are still their and are still being used.
Around the dawn of the first millennium, the Han and Roman attitudes toward technology were both self-glorifying, however the Han Empire in China placed more value upon technology and technological enhancements than did the Roman Empire, as evidenced by the constant concern on the part of the Han dynasty over the occasional indifference on the part of the Romans. Before beginning, it must be stated that every single document provided is written by somebody in the upper class, giving no insight into how the lower classes or peasants felt about technology. This provides a very limited viewpoint into the different attitudes, as the upper class was not the majority. Plus, there are no documents from women, leaving the reader to guess what women felt about the technology they used, how it helped them, or was all technology geared toward helping men in those patriarchal societies? A document from either of these sources would provide great insight into the attitudes toward technology in each nation.
Break Life span Development and Personality of Richard M. Nixon Richard M. Nixon is one of the most complex individual in recent history. He is best known for Watergate that continues to resonate in American politics even a quarter-century after the event. However, Watergate cannot completely overshadow the positive effects of Nixon's presidency. He was a skilled negotiator, and well-versed in foreign affairs, Nixon is the president who improved relations between the United States and Communist China. His 1972 state visit to China was the first ever by an American president.
Source A and B are similar in hailing Qui Shihuang as a great ruler and unifier of China and as a harsh ruler who administered severe punishments on those who broke the law and those who pose a threat to his rule. However both sources differ in their emphasis and opinion of Qui Shihuang rule. Both sources, A and B are very similar in their descriptions of Qin Shi Huang. as a powerful and effective ruler who brought about many positive changes to China. Source A mentions about Qui Shihuang introducing laws uniformly throughout China and adopting a single script of writing unifying the people throughout his empire.
This money could be used to fund next generation equipment for their military technology and even for society. Like it says in document 3 “ What china’s leaders really want is that the next generation of underwear and airplane wings not just be “made in China” but also be “designed in China” and that’s where things are heading. So in the next 30 years we will have gone from “sold in China” to “made in China” to “designed in China” to dreamed up in China”. Last, but definitely not least is the very society of China. China is getting better and better by the second.
I chose this speech for its significance in history, as well as its influence on Nixon’s political standing at the time. He was a very powerful public speaker, as well as running mate and Vice President for Dwight Eisenhower. Nixon makes very powerful points though out his entire speech to show that he is in the right, and the charges against him and his party are being wrongfully made. Nixon’s greatest quality as a public speaker is his ability to sway the crowd with his charisma, and sincerity. His speech reached the people, and made them listen.

This needs to continue in order for both governments to improve their respective states. China and the US have come a long way, China has made tremendous improvements that is noticed all over the world. While the US has been in debt and its financial state plunging for the worse. Improvements are always welcomed on both sides, whether they are made for the benefit of
Out of Control Introduction Malcolm Potts (2006) labeled the One-Child Policy as painful for a generation, but “oneof the most important social policies ever implemented.” From a removed perspective, he isright. China’s population, although still unwieldy, is on a trajectory to become manageable in thefuture. The nation’s economy is thriving, and China is quickly becoming a world power in manyrespects. However, the One-Child Policy has affected its people in a variety of manners notrepresented in that wide-scoped national picture. Anthropologists Faye Ginsberg and RaynaRapp point out that reproduction is not simply a biological issue.
4). According to the classical economist David Ricardo’s law of comparative advantage, even if one nation is less efficient than the other nation in the production of both commodities, there is still a basis for beneficial trade (Salvatore, 2014, p. 34). Unlike mercantilists that denounced imports, China is the largest exporter and second largest importer in the world, after USA. Bibliography All Experts.
