This is an outrage to all of people in the world. Hitler causes total annihilation to the jewish race because of racism and hatred. Death camps come along. And jews in camps die from starvation and gas chambers. "Holocaust: Estimated Deaths of Jews and Gypsies."
Fabian Armendariz Mr. Rodriguez English 3B Jun 7, 2012 How much did the Jews suffered during the Holocaust? The holocaust was one of the most horrifying events that had happened during the 20th century. After WWI ended Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany. As I know Hitler was anti-semis he was genocide. “Genocide is the systematic and purposeful destruction of a racial or cultural group.
Hitler deliberately expressed his hate toward Jews and gave ample warnings, as it was all written down in his autobiography “Mein Kampf”. In 1935, the introduction of the Nuremberg Laws stripped German Jews of their citizenship and civil rights. Jewish rights were steadily restricted, as in many cases Jewish political and intellectual leaders were the first to be sent to concentration camps. The Night of Broken Glass, on November 9, 1938 lead to the death of approximately 100 Jews, while other 30,000 were sent to concentration camps. Jewish businesses along with almost every synagogue in Germany were damaged or completely destroyed.
Introduction: The destruction both systematic and deliberate of a group is known as a genocide. It is the act of destroying a whole group of ethnic, race, religious and national group by killing. Genocides have taken place throughout history; two of the most influential people on the definition of a genocide are Stalin and Hitler. Many people were killed because of their race or religion in Hitler’s range of rule. Stalin, on the other hand, was also a cold leader but did not deliberately create a genocide and was doing it as a part of political motivations.
Jews, Hitler, the Nazi party and other German’s were involved in the holocaust. The Nazi’s decided that the Jewish race needed to be exterminated for no other reason than their ancestry and chosen religion. It first started of with discrimination; then the Jews were separated from their communities and persecuted. During the Second World War the Nazi’s were planning on killing the entire Jewish population. Of the nine million Jews who had lived in Europe at the time before the Holocaust, approximately two-thirds were perished.
The Holocaust “By warding off the Jews, I am fighting for the Lords work” (Harran 50). This quote is the exact words of the worlds most accomplished mass murderer in history, Adolf Hitler. His goal was to exterminate the complete Jewish race, to make room for the “Aryan” race. “Jews have been discriminated against, hated, and killed because prejudiced non-Jews believed they belonged to the wrong religion, lacked citizenship qualifications, practiced business improperly, behaved inappropriately, or possessed inferior racial characteristics” (Harran 41). Due to the hatred that was formed against the Jewish people, over the years of 1933 to 1945, about six million innocent people lost their lives.
CASE STUDY: THE HOLOCAUST Prejudice is any preconceived attitude, opinion or feeling towards an individual or group of people, which could be either favourable or unfavourable. Most psychologists consider the holocaust in relation to prejudice. The holocaust was a specific period in the 20th century where the Jews were systematically persecuted and annihilated by the Nazi’s. During this era, the handicapped were also targeted. Millions more including: homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Soviet (Russian) prisoners of war, and citizens who didn’t agree, died under the Nazi tyranny as well.
Hitler had already convinced Germany that Jews were a disgrace. He started the extermination by taking over Poland, a country with over three million Jews. Then, he continued taking over Belgium, Luxemburg, France, and Holland, placing every single Jew under Nazis control. Hitler and his people did not know what to do with the millions of Jews, so he proposed, and executed, the Final Solution. This means, kill them all!
It is a word that was used to identify sacrifices that ancient Jews made to their God. During these sacrifices people were burnt in fire. Later in January 30, 1933, when Hitler became chancellor of Germany, the word Holocaust came back to our world. Six million Jews were killed, including the mass number of other murders such as Romani gypsies, homosexuals, black, and Soviet POWs. From January 1933 to May 1945 about 10 million to 11 million people were killed... from babies to elderly people.
The crimes committed during the Holocaust devastated most European Jewish communities and eliminated hundreds of Jewish communities in occupied eastern Europe entirely. The Holocaust must be remembered as a unique atrocity, distinct from any other. To compare the Holocaust with Hiroshima, for example, denies and hides the historic role of German and Christian anti-Semitism that lead to and helped Hitler's theories. Therefore, such a comparison shows that Americans are no worse than the Nazis, and that Hitler was no worse than Truman. So how could we forget about something so tragic?
