The criminal justice system is therefore a central part of society and without is society would quickly deteriorate into chaos. There are however a number of issues in the criminal justice system. By Roger Sanjek was originally an ethnographic study of Elmhurst-Corona. Sanjek went to EC to observe how far the diverse population has come in forming an integrated body politic in which all perspectives are represented, and in which all people work together to find common ground. I do believe that Sanjek did succeed in his assignment as he pointed out the three major lessons learned during this study and I, as a reader learned them as well. As government does matter in this story, I think that the biggest lesson to me in this story is that people matter. The people of EC saw what was happening to their neighborhood and they were not happy.
However, because society is ever evolving, the criminal justice system will also continue to evolve better to protect society. The criminal justice system is highly valuable to the United States because of its ability to evolve and adjust to the changes in crimes, society, and laws associated with the Constitution. Without our criminal justice system, the United States would cease to function properly and

We are taught to blame slavery on the Southern states but we learned that the Northern states were just as responsible due to their lack of action, fear of the results due to abolishment, and most importantly their double standard on the stance of slavery. Professor Nash gives us and insightful view from the eyes of free blacks and their contribution in the fight for freedom and equality of African Americans. (Racial profiling, 2012) This researcher frowns much upon racial profiling but with surveys conducted every day on who is likely to commit a crime, and what age, and what sex, and what minority group then people tend to lean towards these surveys proving that race is a huge part of crime involvement. In conclusion, criminal profiling works as an investigative tool to help solve crimes. Criminal profiling has come a long way and still needs a lot of improvement.

Other policies could be having the perpetrator pay restitution to the victim or possibly hasher punishments to deter future instances of stalking. Stalking should be treated as a significant problem; the survey found that stalking is more prevalent than previously thought (Tjaden & Thoennes,
