In today’s world, plastic is used in a large portion of people’s everyday lives. Recycling is becoming more and more popular for people and industries. Recycled plastic can be used for many products that most would not expect. Some think that when plastic is recycled it is just turned into other forms of plastic; however, this is not the case. Three uses of recycled plastic would be household products, building materials, and artistic masterpieces. One common use of plastic can be found in almost any household. Household uses of plastic include items like milk jugs, soft drink bottles and shampoo bottles. Recycled plastic products found in any house can be made into other household items. Some things made from recycled plastic are items such as trash cans or even toys for children. Many people would be surprised to know just how often they use plastic. The truth is, plastic items are a large part of things made for the average household (“Things that are Made from Recycled Plastics”). Another way that plastic products are recycled would be the use of plastic in building materials. Building and contracting companies use tools that can be made of plastic or recycled plastic instead of other materials. Many companies have even invested in plastic lumber. This useful plastic product can be used for anything from tables to chairs to decks for a house (“Things that are Made from Recycled Plastics”). Investing in durable plastic products is a great way for people or companies to be more eco-friendly and even help save money for their customers or themselves. Wood may have the tendency to rot depending on whether or not it has been treated properly. If plastic lumber is used instead, rotting won’t be an issue.
