Their source of survival has turned into our past-time. Even though the purpose of hunting now days is for enjoyment, most people still eat the mean, but those who do not are being wasteful and are breaking the law. If someone is going to kill a deer, rabbit, or other game for fun, they at least need to see that the meat is used. Leaving something as useful as good meat in the woods to spoil and rot is showing horrible character. It is also against the law to kill game for just the rack, tail, ect., and just a waste of meat.
There are some aspects of the act that just don’t seem right to me. I believe hunting can be a useful tool in population control and a large source of our food today. It also can be viewed as murder and simply not right. It all depends on who you ask and what their perspective is on the situation I believe that hunting is ethical as long as you kill an animal for a reason not just for a good time. Like Ann Causey, I think that if you want to hunt you should appreciate what you kill, and hunt for a reason to benefit you or other people.
Animal Cruelty Animal cruelty is a growing problem in today’s society, and it needs to be stopped as soon as possible. More than 8 million abandoned and neglected animals enter animal shelters every year, and more than half of them are euthanized. Animal cruelty comes in several forms, some of which people don’t know. There is animal experimenting, animal abuse, and mistreatment of animals. All of these forms of abuse can be stopped and prevented with your help.
Dogs can be a man’s best friend but we must never underestimate how dangerous they can be as they are descendants of the Wolf they should not be held responsible, their owners should. All over the world in various nations pets can be classified and valued as much more than an animal with some owners in favour in agreeing that dogs have a responsibility of their own. But can dogs really be responsible? I believe they are a potential threat to society. Dangerous dogs should be analysed throughout the community as they are susceptible to negative behaviour.
What if that was one of your family member, wouldn’t you want them to be able to protect themselves? I would think so. Many people don’t think of gun violence this way but, it is very true. “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” It’s the person behind the gun that causes the death and deviation known with gun violence. So gun control is not the answer to the problem.
Rough Draft Should the state execute dogs that have bitten someone? Bitten by dogs is becoming more and more common these days. But should the states execute the dogs? No, they shouldn’t because what if they only had bitten people out of self defense, or because they were trained that way, and what if it was an accident? These are things you need to think about before agreeing to it.
These laws are a good solution, but if people don’t follow them then they aren’t working and there should be harsher laws towards animal cruelty. Like I believe if a person is taking the commitment to take a pet into there house they should keep him, and not just because you got tired of him you go throw him at the dog pound. If you are
Animal Liberation By: Peter Singer “Animal Liberation” is a novel highlighting the ignorance of people about what animals go through in order to fulfill whatever humans need. Whether it is meals or experimentation, millions of animals suffer each year. The author really goes the extra mile to try to make the reader see his point of view by being descriptive in his explanations of the types of pain animals feel. For example, Bunnies are used to test products for eye irritation by placing them in a chamber with only their heads exposed and dropping the product into their eyes. The eyes of the bunnies often become irritated, infected, and even blind.
A Glimpse of the Dark Side Most of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather and enjoyed going to zoos and circuses. What we never realized was the process it took to make that burger or how the tiger was trained to jump through the flaming hoop. People seem to push it to the side and think, well we need meat to live. Vegans do not believe in that, they actually prove that we don’t need meat or anything animal related, to survive but for the meat lovers, it would be nice to know that the meat they’re eating was treated the right way and was put off in a humane way. Animal cruelty needs to stop and if farmers aren’t willing to stop the nasty, brutal way they are killing animals, then what we can do is stop buying meat.
Dogs will be forced to take euthanasia if they were not adopted for a period of time. Approximately, there are 33000 dogs killed every year, this figure shows how severe the problem is. Identifying abandoned dogs’ owners is not a fully-fledged solution. Those iron-hearted owners will then be brought to justice and banned for life from owning a pet but without showing any repentance. However, it is an undeniable fact that they did escape from their responsibility.
